Liquid vs Party Astronauts Pick

Liquid (Moneyline)

Liquid vs Party Astronauts Predictions

Liquid’s current ranking is 31. Liquid themselves have not done too badly, with five wins in their last six matches.

The only team that both Liquid and Movistar Riders, another team in action on Saturday, have played against in the recent past has been Godsent, and both teams beat Godsent. While Liquid did it 2-0, Godsent managed to take a map off Movistar Riders, losing 2-1,

Liquid have played two maps in Dust and has not won any. Their best performance, by far, has been in Mirage, where they have won four out of six maps. Their next best showing is in Vertigo, where they have won two and lost two maps.

In four matches in Inferno, they have won just one, and in three matches in Ancient, they have likewise won just one.

Liquid Looking to Regain Lost Glory

Why Liquid have favorable odds despite being ranked lower and having a lesser hot streak coming into this game is simple: history.

They’re a former No.1 ranked team, having held that position for 18 weeks. They were ranked inside the top 10 from February 2018 to July 2020. They’re on track to regain their perch too, having climbed from being ranked in the 50s at the start of February 2022 to their current position of 31.

Liquid will have the edge in the Mirage and Vertigo maps. They have won two-thirds of their matches in Mirage, with four out of six wins. Liquid have a similar won two and lost two records in Vertigo, but that’s still considerably ahead.

In Naf (K/D ratio of 1.16), EliGE (K/D ratio of 1.18), and oSee (K/D ratio of 1.18) have three players who all have been terrific in the last three months. Three players having a favorable K/D ratio gives Liquid tremendous heft. EliGE has been the most prolific, with 402 kills. He favors the Rifle heavily, having 304 Rifle kills, with only Pistol Kills (70) being more than 15 among the other weapons.

Where he has lost out is in one-on-one clutch plays, with one win to two defeats in the last three months. He does, however, have a victory in a one-on-three clutch play in the same timeframe. None of the other two have a win in a one-on-three clutch play in the last three months.

Party Astronauts Will Rely on PwnAlone

Their world ranking of 40 is not far off from the peak of 27 they achieved, way back in October 2020. They have risen steadily from June 2021 to get back in the top 40 and stay there consistently.

What might be a bit of a concern is that they’re heading into this match on the back of three successive losses. That could just be the law of averages catching up, because, before those three losses, they had a run of 25 matches with just two defeats, including a streak of 11 consecutive wins.

Party Astronauts have had a winning record in each of the maps they have played in. The only exception is Ancient, where they have played only one match and lost it. But they have been terrific in Inferno (14 wins in 17 matches for a win percentage of 82), Nuke (9 wins in 11 matches for a win percentage of 82), and Overpass (6 wins in 8 matches for a win percentage of 75), more than handy in Dust2 (win percentage of 75 in 4 matches) and Mirage (win percentage of 56 in 9 matches).

Watch out for PwnAlone, whose lifetime K/D ratio of 1.15 has risen to an incredible 1.32 in the last three months, where he has 979 kills to only 743 deaths. While he favors the Sniper kills with 467, he’s racked up substantial numbers elsewhere too, with 249 Rifle kills and 174 Pistol kills. He’s won three one-on-two clutch plays, and in one-on-one clutch plays, he’s got nine wins and seven defeats.

Another one whose current form has been hot is the day. His all-time K/D ratio is only 0.99 but in the last three months, it stands at 1.18, a dramatic improvement. He’s been an excellent clutch player for Party Astronauts in the last three months too. No fewer than eight wins in one-on-two clutch plays, while in one-on-one clutch plays, he’s won 11 against losing only six.

BIG vs Movistar Riders Pick

BIG (Moneyline)

BIG vs Movistar Riders Predictions

Movistar Riders are coming in hot, on a five-match winning streak. They have also won six of their last seven matches, and are ranked 23. Movistar Riders appear to have the clear advantage in Inferno, where they have played five matches and won, for a win percentage of 80.

They have also done better in Ancient, winning two out of four maps. They have played seven maps in Nuke, winning four, while in Overpass, they have won just one of three maps.

Movistar Riders Will Look to SunPayus to Lead the Way

Movistar Riders have been a consistently high-performing team for several months now.

The last time their ranking fell out of the top 50 was in August 2021. But, since February 2019, Movistar Riders have had only brief blips when they were outside the top 50. Their only concern might be a slight recent dip, where they have gone from a high of being ranked No.14 in October 2021 to losing some ground now.

Movistar Riders will have the advantage in the Inferno and Nuke maps. Their win percentage in Inferno (80%) dwarfs Liquid’s 25% comfortably, and while their win percentage of 57% in Nuke might not seem inordinately high, they have played seven maps in Nuke whereas Liquid haven’t played any.

Watch out for SunPayus in Movistar Riders. He’s been fantastic since the start, and there has been no tapering of form for him. His all-time K/D ratio is a high of 1.22, and when seen for only the last three months, it stays almost the same at 1.21.

When he makes the first kill, his team wins 77.1% of the time. He’s a Sniper man, with 267 kills using that weapon. His Rifle kills are next on 123.

In the last three months, he’s won 7 and lost only 4 one-one-one clutch plays. He’s also got two wins in one-on-two clutch plays. In his career so far, the one-on-one clutch play record reads won 61 and lost only 35. He also has an impressive 39 wins in one-on-two clutch plays.

SyrsoN the Offensive Key for BIG

With their core players, Big have won five of their last six matches, losing only to Liquid.

They have been proficient in several maps too. The most they have played is in Dust2, and they have a healthy win percentage of 69% from 13 matches, meaning they have won nine and lost only four matches in Dust2.

They have got an impeccable record in Vertigo, winning three out of three matches. They have even done decently in Nuke, with four wins and three defeats in seven matches for a win percentage of 57%. In Overpass, they have won four and lost four matches.

Big’s key player is likely to be syrsoN, who has been in terrific form. While his all-time K/D ratio is already a high of 1.16, in the last three months, that figure has shot up to 1.29. He’s had 846 kills compared to only 658 deaths, marking him out as ruthless on offense and sound on defense. When syrsoN makes the first kill, Big have gone on to win 78.3% of matches.

His method of choice is Sniper kills, having racked up a staggering 607. He’s got 128 Pistol kills too, but it’s as a sniper that he has been most deadly. His clutch plays have also been stellar. In the last three months, in one-on-one clutch plays, he’s won 11 and lost only six, while he also has six wins in one-on-two clutch plays.

Another player who has done significantly well for Big is Krimbo, who has a K/D ratio of 1.12 in the last three months, more or less consistent with his all-time figure of 1.14. He’s got a whopping 957 kills, and of those 711 have been Rifle kills. He’s also got three victories in one-on-three clutch plays in the past three months.
