Liquid (Moneyline)
Movistar Riders are coming in hot, on a five-match winning streak. They have also won six of their last seven matches, and are ranked 23. Movistar Riders appear to have the clear advantage in Inferno, where they have played five matches and won, for a win percentage of 80.
They have also done better in Ancient, winning two out of four maps. They have played seven maps in Nuke, winning four, while in Overpass, they have won just one of three maps.
Movistar Riders have been a consistently high-performing team for several months now.
The last time their ranking fell out of the top 50 was in August 2021. But, since February 2019, Movistar Riders have had only brief blips when they were outside the top 50. Their only concern might be a slight recent dip, where they have gone from a high of being ranked No.14 in October 2021 to losing some ground now.
Movistar Riders will have the advantage in the Inferno and Nuke maps. Their win percentage in Inferno (80%) dwarfs Liquid’s 25% comfortably, and while their win percentage of 57% in Nuke might not seem inordinately high, they have played seven maps in Nuke whereas Liquid haven’t played any.
Watch out for SunPayus in Movistar Riders. He’s been fantastic since the start, and there has been no tapering of form for him. His all-time K/D ratio is a high of 1.22, and when seen for only the last three months, it stays almost the same at 1.21.
When he makes the first kill, his team wins 77.1% of the time. He’s a Sniper man, with 267 kills using that weapon. His Rifle kills are next on 123.
In the last three months, he’s won 7 and lost only 4 one-one-one clutch plays. He’s also got two wins in one-on-two clutch plays. In his career so far, the one-on-one clutch play record reads won 61 and lost only 35. He also has an impressive 39 wins in one-on-two clutch plays.
With their core players, Big have won five of their last six matches, losing only to Liquid.
They have been proficient in several maps too. The most they have played is in Dust2, and they have a healthy win percentage of 69% from 13 matches, meaning they have won nine and lost only four matches in Dust2.
They have got an impeccable record in Vertigo, winning three out of three matches. They have even done decently in Nuke, with four wins and three defeats in seven matches for a win percentage of 57%. In Overpass, they have won four and lost four matches.
Big’s key player is likely to be syrsoN, who has been in terrific form. While his all-time K/D ratio is already a high of 1.16, in the last three months, that figure has shot up to 1.29. He’s had 846 kills compared to only 658 deaths, marking him out as ruthless on offense and sound on defense. When syrsoN makes the first kill, Big have gone on to win 78.3% of matches.
His method of choice is Sniper kills, having racked up a staggering 607. He’s got 128 Pistol kills too, but it’s as a sniper that he has been most deadly. His clutch plays have also been stellar. In the last three months, in one-on-one clutch plays, he’s won 11 and lost only six, while he also has six wins in one-on-two clutch plays.
Another player who has done significantly well for Big is Krimbo, who has a K/D ratio of 1.12 in the last three months, more or less consistent with his all-time figure of 1.14. He’s got a whopping 957 kills, and of those 711 have been Rifle kills. He’s also got three victories in one-on-three clutch plays in the past three months.
