Best MLB Home Run Props Today June 18

Wednesday is an odd day for home run props. For starters, we’re backing a player to hit a home run when his team hasn’t scored a run, period, in over three games. We’re also targeting a pair of teammates because the opposing pitcher has been prone to the long ball this year.

For Wednesday, the odds are from FanDuel Sportsbook. If you’re new to FanDuel, make sure you take advantage of their welcome offer, which gives you $200 in bonus bets if your first bet wins.

Home Run Picks for Wednesday, June 18

Aaron Judge Anytime Home Run (+112) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The Yankees haven’t scored since Saturday, going more than three full games without a run. At this point, they almost need Judge to hit a home run to snap them out of their funk. Judge had a stretch of five home runs in five games not too long ago, so he’s capable of getting back on track and giving the Yankees a spark.

That could come a lot easier on Wednesday against Jack Kochanowicz. In 14 starts for the Angels, he’s rocking a 5.53 ERA. More importantly, he’s allowed 13 home runs in those 14 starts. Over his last four starts, Kochanowicz has allowed four homers, covering just 11.1 innings during that stretch. This is a golden opportunity for the Yankees to break out of their slump, with Judge likely the one to do it.

Francisco Lindor Anytime Home Run (+520) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Not many hitters get excited to face Chris Sale, but Lindor might be one of them. Lindor is 14 for 34 (.412) with two doubles and two home runs in his career against Sale. While it’s been two weeks since his last home run, he has a better home run percentage against lefties than righties. Given his history against Sale, this is a good time to target Lindor for a home run.

Granted, Sale doesn’t give up a ton of long balls. He’s also been on top of his game lately. But he’s been vulnerable to the long ball at times. More importantly, Sale has struggled against Lindor throughout his career, so this bet is worth a shot.

Rhys Hoskins Anytime Home Run (+470) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Even with just 10 home runs on the season, Hoskins is always a decent home run candidate because he has a power-focused approach. It’s a little surprising that he has just one home run thus far in June, so one might say he’s due for another one. More importantly, he’s 4 for 11 with two home runs in his career against Jameson Taillon, which is what drew our attention to this matchup.

Keep in mind that Taillon has given up the fourth-most home runs in the majors this year. Even with an impressive 3.48 ERA, he’s been consistently plagued by the long ball. That puts him in a tough position on Wednesday against a hitter like Hoskins, who has already taken him deep twice in just 11 at-bats.

Jackson Chourio Anytime Home Run (+500) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Taillon has been so prone to home runs this season that we’re going to target multiple members of the Brewers. If just one of them homers, we’ll come out ahead, although both Hoskins and Chourio going deep isn’t out of the question either. Chourio is 5 for 10 with a double and a home run in his career against Taillon, so he’s also had his way against Chicago’s starter.

Chourio’s 12 home runs this season also make him a strong candidate to take advantage of Taillon’s propensity for giving up homers. Plus, Chourio is swinging a hot bat at the moment. He’s in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak with four extra-base hits, including two home runs, during that stretch, making him a strong candidate to homer on Wednesday.
