Best MLB Home Run Props Today: It's Turang Time in Milwaukee Tonight
Brewers’ second baseman Brice Turang has never been known for his power, but that is quickly changing. After hitting just 13 home runs over his first two seasons, the young star has already matched that total in 2025. Below, we’ll share why we love his chances to go deep, along with two other home run props we love.

Home Run Picks for Friday, August 22
Brice Turang Anytime Home Run (+1060) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Brewers' second baseman is one of the hottest power hitters in baseball. Though he has just 14 home runs this season, eight of those have come in August. The 25-year-old has always been a solid hitter, but has added a ton of power over the last month. It seems to be due to a swing adjustment, suggesting it is more than just a fluke.
Turang will be facing a struggling young starter on the mound tonight in Carson Whisenhunt (1-1, 5.02 ERA, 1.40 WHIP). The 24-year-old made his MLB debut on July 28 and has struggled to adjust. He has made three starts for a total of 14 ⅓ innings, allowing five home runs. That includes three home runs allowed in his previous start.
Turang has not faced Whisenhunt before, but has a .282 average against lefties this season.

Gunnar Henderson Anytime Home Run (+350) at Caesars Sportsbook
There is no denying that Gunnar Henderson’s 2025 campaign has been a massive disappointment, but most of his struggles have come on the road. He’ll be home against the Astros tonight, where he owns a .313 average and .542 slugging percentage.
Another reason we love this bet is Houston starter Lance McCullers Jr (2-4, 6.90 ERA, 1.74 WHIP). The veteran was once a big part of the team’s rotation, but a 2022 injury caused him to miss the next two seasons. He finally returned earlier this season, but looked like a very different pitcher.
McCullers is coming off another IL stint to make tonight’s start. A finger blister forced him out, but doesn’t account for how bad he was pitching before he picked it up. We expect him struggles to continue, giving Henderson plenty of chances to go deep.

Lenyn Sosa Anytime Home Run (+475) at Caesars Sportsbook
Lenyn Sosa is quietly having a breakout season for the lowly White Sox. After hitting for a .254 average eight home runs for 35 RBIs across 100 games last season, he has improved in each category. Through 110 games in 2025, he is batting .271 with 17 home runs and 55 RBIs.
Sosa’s power surge is continuing through August. He has seven home runs this month, despite batting just .236. Considering he is batting a strong .292 at home this season, we love his chances to add another home run tonight.
Sosa should see plenty of chances to go deep with Zebby Matthews (3-4, 5.06 ERA, 1.44 WHIP) on the mound for Minnesota. The young starter has been better in his second season, but still struggles to miss bats. That is resulting in a lot of baserunners, and has led to four home runs over his previous two starts (9 ⅔).
Matthews and Sosa will be meeting for the first time.
