First up on our list of MLB prop bets for Friday is an interleague Central Division matchup between the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs. Milwaukee is still fighting for its life in the NL Central race, and wins in games like this one will be imperative to their success. With Corbin Burnes on the mound for Milwaukee, they should be able to come away with the win and Burnes should get the decision in his favor.
So far this season, Burnes is 9-6 with a 3.42 ERA, and he is pitching well as the summer wears on for the Brewers. He has allowed two or fewer runs in each of his last five starts, as he has been a steadying force for the Brewers as their playoff push has begun. In this game, against a struggling White Sox team, Burnes will have the upper hand if he can continue to remain as locked in as he has been.
Milwaukee needs to continue winning, and that sense of urgency will help Burnes pick up a win here as well. The Brewers enter Friday up by 2.5 games in the NL Central over the Cubs and Reds. While there is some pressure on the Brew Crew, the presence of Burnes on the mound will help to keep things calm, cool and collected, as the Brewers should come away with this game.

One of the most exciting games on the Friday MLB schedule should come between the Los Angeles Angels and Houston Astros. Both of these teams have star power, as Shohei Ohtani leads his team into battle against Yordan Alvarez, Jose Altuve, and the rest of the Astros. In this contest, our attention in the prop market is on Alvarez, who is a decent shout to hit a home run at +300 in this game.
Alvarez has 21 home runs this season, which sounds like a low amount for someone who is only +300 to hit a home run. But that home run total is a product of Alvarez being injured for a good chunk of this season. Now that he is back in the Astros lineup and healthy, Alvarez can continue his regularly scheduled mashing of home runs, which he will do in this game against the Angels.
Reid Detmers is set to start this game on the mound against the Astros, which will only help Alvarez’s case to hit a home run tonight. Detmers has allowed 15 home runs this season in just over 100 innings of work. Look for Alvarez to jump on one of his pitches in this game and to cash this plus money prop selection.

Our final MLB prop bet for Friday is for the Cleveland Guardians to score under 3.5 runs against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Guardians offense is one of the worst in baseball no matter who they are facing on a given day. But they are set to be even worse than usual at the plate as they face a familiar foe, with Aaron Civale set to face off against the Guardians as a member of the Rays.
Civale spent five seasons as a member of the Cleveland franchise before being traded to the Rays at the trade deadline. As a result, he will have some familiarity with the batters of the Guardians that many pitchers may not have, by virtue of working with the Guardians day in and day out for so long. That should give him an edge against a team that is not all that proficient when it comes to scoring runs anyway.
This season, Cleveland ranks 27th in baseball in runs scored, and they are the only team in baseball that has not hit 100 home runs as a team yet. Their lack of power and ability to string hits together will also contribute to Cleveland going under their team total in this contest. But all of the circumstances in this game point to that under.
