Lynn has really struggled so far this season, going 4-6 with a 6.55 ERA to this point in 2023. Combine that with a Yankees lineup that has plenty of pop even without its best bat available, and we should see Lynn go over his hit total in this contest on Wednesday night.

New York will be without Aaron Judge for this game, as he was put on the 10-day IL due to injury this week. Look for the Yankees to be aggressive early as they aim to get back into the win column against a struggling Chicago team.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Cincinnati Reds

My Pick: Reds first to three runs scored (+164 at FanDuel)

On Wednesday night, Noah Syndergaard will take the hill for the Los Angeles Dodgers, as they visit the Cincinnati Reds. This game represents a huge mismatch on paper, as the Dodgers are one of the top teams in the National League, while the Reds certainly are not. But with Syndergaard on the mound for the Dodgers, one of the best value plays on the board for Wednesday is for the Reds to score three runs before the Dodgers do in this contest.

Syndergaard’s struggles are a huge reason to back the Reds to be the first to three runs in this contest. The Dodgers starter is just 1-4 on the season with a 6.54 ERA, and he has allowed five or more runs in back-to-back starts for Los Angeles. His struggles will continue in this game against a Reds team that has exceeded expectations so far this year, even if they are not a title contender.

Both of these teams come into this game playing very different levels of baseball, which will have a big impact on the outcome of this prop as well. The Dodgers have lost three straight games, while the Reds have won two games in a row and sit in third place in the NL Central. The Detroit Tigers will visit the Philadelphia Phillies for the third night in a row, and the Phillies should be able to earn a third straight win over Detroit. Along the way, expect Zack Wheeler to be credited with the win in a game where the Phillies have the edge in just about every department.

The Phillies should be able to tee off in this game against an inexperienced starting pitcher in Reese Olson for the Tigers. Olson has pitched just five innings this year, though he did pitch admirably during that short time on the hill. Here, he faces a Phillies team that should be able to put pressure on him early, though, putting Wheeler in a position to win this game.

For Wheeler, the key to this game is going to be limiting base runners, as he is allowing right around a hit per inning on the season. Fortunately for the Phillies starter, he is facing a Tigers team that ranks 29th out of 30 MLB teams in hits on the season. Look for Wheeler to avoid early damage in this contest, and for the Phillies to give him the run support that he needs to pick up a win at home.
