Best NRFI Bets Today October 04

Texas Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Rays - Nathan Eovaldi (RHP) vs. Zach Eflin (RHP)

Under 0.5 Runs (-130 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Texas Rangers can finish off the Tampa Bay Rays today at Tropicana Field and advance to the ALDS. However, the Rays won’t go down without a fight, and they have one of their best wings on the mound in Zach Eflin.

Eflin has been fantastic this season, leading the Rays to 16 wins. He has a 3.5 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP in 177.2 innings on the mound. He also has strong strikeout pitches, which is clear as he has fanned 186 batters in 2023.

He is the perfect pitcher to start the NRFI on Wednesday, but Nathan Eovaldi must finish off the bet in the bottom of the first.

Eovaldi is 12-5 with a 3.63 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP. He isn’t the best strikeout pitcher, but he is a strong locator. He must lean on this against the Rays top of the order.

Based on what Tampa Bay did on offense yesterday, they should be lacking some confidence coming into this game. We’re going to play the NRFI in this spot and see if we can get a repeat of Game 1.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Milwaukee Brewers - Zac Gallen (RHP) vs. Freddy Peralta (RHP)

Under 0.5 Runs (-140 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

Zac Gallen will take the ball for the Arizona Diamondbacks, looking to finish off the Milwaukee Brewers. Arizona is a solid club, but they were an underdog coming into this series against the Brewers.

Freddy Peralta is the pitcher looking to save the Brewers from elimination. The combination of Gallen and Peralta makes this the perfect matchup for a NRFI bet.

Gallen is 17-9 with a 3.47 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP. He has 220 strikeouts in 210 innings, which shows his dominance. He can be an inning eater while dominating many batters along the way.

Peralta will look to shut down a Diamondbacks offense that was solid on Tuesday. Peralta is 12-10 with a 3.86 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP. He has fanned 210 batters in 165.2 innings.

His strikeout ability is perfect for NRFI betting. If he gets into trouble, he has the arsenal to fight his way back. The YRFI hit in Game 1 of this series, but these two pitchers should combine for a slower offensive day.

The biggest question is if Peralta can handle the pressure and pitch his team to a Game 3. We will know early in this contest if the pitcher can limit his nerves and deliver in this big moment.

He should be comfortable pitching at home, so look for a strong start.

Miami Marlins vs. Philadelphia Phillies - Braxton Garrett (LHP) vs. Aaron Nola (RHP)

Under 0.5 Runs (-123 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

Philadelphia should be rocking on Wednesday, as the Phillies can close out the Marlins and advance to the NLDS. They manufactured a 4-1 win in Game 1 of the series and now the pressure is off, even though they don’t want to go to a Game 3.

We believe the highs of last night will cause a lackluster start for the Phillies. Braxton Garrett has been good, and he has the ability to tame the Marlins early in this contest.

The pitcher is 9-7 with a 3.66 and a 1.15 WHIP. Aaron Nola will pitch against Garrett and while Philadelphia may start slow, we don’t anticipate the same for Nola. The pitcher has been really dominant as of late.

He is 12-9 on the season with a 4.46 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP. He is 14th in baseball in strikeouts with 202 on the season. He can be wild, but if he is locating, there are very few other pitchers we would trust to get three outs.
