The Atlanta Hawks took Game 1, but the Sixers showed late in that game that they’re nowhere near outmatched. A better start and a focused defence and the Sixers take this match. | ||||

The Atlanta Hawks’ offense was fantastic in Game 1, forcing the Sixers to scramble where Atlanta eventually punished them.
The Hawks were able to assist on 23 of their 44 made field goals, while also converting on 20 of their 47 three-point attempts.
The Sixers are a big team, so if Atlanta can continue to hurt them from range, they’ll always have a chance to take the game. So long as they continue to move the ball to find opportunities, Atlanta can leave Philly up 2-0.

The Atlanta Hawks took Game one off the back of a tremendous scoring effort from three. Their three-point scoring leader in Game 1 was Bogdan Bogdanovic.
The Serbian international posted 21 points and five assists on seven of 17 shooting from the field. He was particularly effective from three, where he hit five of his 12 attempts.
Bogdanovic has proven himself a capable running mate for Trae Young. In order to steal two games in Philadelphia, Bogdanovic must continue to be a threat from range.
The Philadelphia 76ers dug themselves into a tough hole in Game 1 against the Atlanta Hawks. If they want to level the series, they need a stronger start.
The Hawks outscored the Sixers 42 to 27 in the first quarter. They tried to make up the difference in the fourth quarter, winning 41-29, but it simply wasn’t enough.
Head coach Doc Rivers will need to reorganize his defense, in hopes of remaining competitive to open Game 2.

The Philadelphia Sixers need to get their offense going early and it’ll be up to Australian international Ben Simmons to set the pace.
Simmons is a force on both ends of the court, as he is tireless defensively and difficult to match offensively.
If there’s anywhere that Simmons could improve it is on his free throw shooting. He was a dreadful three of 10 three in Game 1, despite posting 17 points, 10 assists, and four steal. Simmons needs to punish defenders from the line.
