The Boston Celtics will pit their incredible scoring offense against the LA Clippers' tremendous scoring defense. While the Celtics score 120.3 points per game, the LA Clippers have held their opponents to 109.2 points per game while allowing just 34.8% shooting from three. The Clippers are great defensively, but the Celtics still match up very well.
Despite being an excellent defensive team, the Clippers' dreadful offensive game is cause for concern. Despite having the league's fourth-best scoring defense, the LA Clippers still have a minus-1.5 point differential through their 15-13 record. In comparison, the Celtics have the league's highest point differential at plus-7.9.
Scoring is not in the LA Clippers' wheelhouse, but you never know with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard in the lineup. When the Clippers and the Celtics face off, count on the stats and expect Boston's scoring rate to outpace LA.

The Boston Celtics and the LA Clippers are certain to put on one of the NBA's most contrasting matchups, but you'll need to keep a close eye on them to see if they'll clear the total. With the Celtics being a high-paced scoring team and the Clippers preferring to park the bus and win through defensive effort, it could be difficult for bettors to call.
On the season the Boston Celtics are averaging 120.3 points per game, but just 115.1 points on the road where they are 10-4. The LA Clippers average just 107.7 points per game, and that number actually drops to 104.7 points at home where they are 7-6. If averages hold true, these teams will combine for about 219.8 points when they meet.
Take into account that the Celtics have scored just 116.0 points per game over their last three, while the Clippers have averaged 111.7 in that same stretch of games. Sure to try and push the Clippers in transition with their smaller lineup, but don't be surprised to see the Celtics find success on LA's home court.
