WSN’s Pick
Our Pick: Spread - Golden State Warriors -2.5 (-108)
The Golden State Warriors haven’t been incredibly impressive this season. Still, they’ve got the advantage in the health department against a Heat team expected to miss some valuable contributors. Significantly better at home than they are on the road, the Warriors are expected to enjoy some home cooking behind the production of Stephen Curry.

Miami Heat Preview
Despite an offseason filled with expectations of acquiring another All-Star caliber player, the Heat have found success through the regular season by investing in their existing crop of players. Currently, fifth in the East, the result of Miami’s five-game Western Conference road trip will have massive implications on their standing.
The Heat is currently on a three-game win streak, earning impressive victories over their East rivals, the Orlando Magic, Atlanta Hawks, and Philadelphia 76ers. They won their last three games by an 8.0-point margin of victory, hitting 14.7 threes per game on 44.0% efficiency. Of course, their defense was excellent, holding teams to 33.3% from deep and 44.1% from the field overall.
The Heat’s injury list includes Dru Smith (Knee), who will miss the season, as well as Haywood Highsmith (Head), Caleb Martin (Ankle), Josh Richardson (Back), and Jimmy Butler (Calf), whose statuses are unknown for the Thursday matchup.

Golden State Warriors Preview
The Golden State Warriors are still trying to find a run of consistent form this season, as they’re currently on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. Despite entering this game on a loss, the Warriors won five games in a row before that. Now, at .500, the Warriors can get back into contention.
Through the Warriors’ five-game win streak, they scored 125.8 points per game on 50.3% shooting from the field and 39.4% from deep. Most notably, their defense was on points, holding teams to 45.2% from the floor and 34.5% from beyond the arc. While they struggled against the reigning champion Nuggets in their last game, the Warriors have looked good–even if their opponents' schedules have been beneficial.
The usual suspects are unavailable for the Golden State Warriors in this matchup, with Gary Payton II (Calf) and Draymond Green (Suspension) unable to play.
