MIL: Put In A Four-Quarter Effort

The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off of a disappointing loss to the Atlanta Hawks. While they were able to control most of the game, they failed to close out the match – something you’d expect from a “championship-worthy” team.

Despite winning three of four quarters in their loss to the Hawks, the Bucks lost the game when they were outscored 26 to 41 in the fourth. Despite their closing unit playing 75% of the quarter, the Bucks allowed their opponents to shoot 70.6% from the field in the closing frame.

The Hornets played some fantastic fourth-quarter defense in their last game. The Bucks don’t want another late-game collapse.

Bucks Key Player: (F) Khris Middleton

When the Bucks were struggling in the fourth quarter of their last game, it was Khris Middleton who tried to carry Milwaukee to victory.

In his last game, Middleton posted 23 points, six rebounds, and two assists on 50% shooting from the field. He carried them through the fourth quarter, scoring 12 points on five of six shooting from the field.

Middleton is a rock for the Bucks, consistency being his calling card. To take down the Bucks, he needs to establish his presence in the game early.

CHA: Get Off To A Quick Start

The Charlotte Hornets have the work cut out for them in this game, as they face off one of the best teams in the NBA. As they did in their recent victory over the Boston Celtics, the Hornets need to get off to a fast start.

The Hornets were brilliant in the first quarter of their last game, starting the opening frame nine of ten from the field and perfect from three. The strength of Rozier and Graham helped Charlotte to define the pace and control their opponents.

The Bucks are one of the faster-paced teams in the NBA, so Charlotte can’t afford to fall behind early.

Hornets Key Player: (G) Terry Rozier

Scary Terry, as he’s affectionately known, was brilliant in his last outing. Not quite a superstar, Rozier showed his all-around game that can tilt any matchup in Charlotte’s favor.

The Hornets point guard posted 21 points, 11 assists, five rebounds, a steal, and a block on 44.4% shooting from the field.

Rozier will be initiating the offence against the Bucks’ versatile defence. While he likely won’t have the same offensive options, he must continue to create opportunities for his teammates.
