The winner of this game will be just two wins away from being the ACC Tournament champion.

In their win over the Hokies, the Seminoles scored 86, with Jamir Watkins scoring 34 and hauling in 11 rebounds.

UNC vs. Florida State Preview

The Tar Heels and Seminoles will meet for the third time this season, and North Carolina won both games leading up to this one. They’ve won by at least seven in both of them.

According to KenPom, North Carolina has the fifth-best adjusted defensive efficiency, allowing 93.3 points per 100 possessions while scoring 118.3 points per 100 possessions. Their offensive output is 25th.

Meanwhile, Florida State allows 100.9 points per 100 possessions while scoring 111.

When comparing the stats of these two teams, rebounding is the one that really stands out. Of course, the Tar Heels have Armando Bacot corralling rebounds consistently, but the Tar Heels are fifth in the nation with 41 per game, while Florida State is way down at 33.6, which is 249th. Against the Hokies, they did haul in 39, though.

The Seminoles have an excellent scorer in Watkins, but the Tar Heels have so much more ammunition with Bacot and superstar guard RJ Davis, who averages over 21 points per game.

UNC vs. Florida State Prediction and Betting Pick

While the Seminoles, as mentioned, have some offensive firepower, the Tar Heels simply have far too much more and will dominate the boards with Bacot leading the way.

Look for the Tar Heels to put up plenty of points and limit the Seminoles rebounding opportunities.

A double-digit win is incoming.
