This highly anticipated NFL Week 13 revenge match has Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson facing his old team, the Houston Texans, after serving his eleven-game suspension for his “questionable off-the-field activities” that are an entire debate unto themselves, now on the field for the first time since he failed to practice for the Texans or play until he got traded away.
Now the rusty Watson who has not stepped on an NFL field for almost three seasons is the Browns starter after his backup Jacoby Brissett led the team to a 4-7 record, and the 1-win Texans are supposed to be a gimme win for this talented Cleveland team that has not lived up to its expectations, that result probably just fine for the Houston front office that’s staring at the upcoming draft.
Even though Cleveland has failed to cover the spread in eight of their last nine games as favorites, expect the boost from having Watson under center to give them all the offensive power to outscore and out-defend this Texans team who ranks last in the league on both sides of the ball, their starting QB now listed as Kyle Allen who was under center last week, too.

The Houston Texans’ defense is in trouble in Week 13 since they are ranked last against the run, and they will be facing the league’s 5th most productive rushing attack starring the third best RB in the league, Nick Chubb, and his partner in backfield crime, Kareem Hunt, plus now the Browns have a mobile QB in Watson who is known for escaping the pocket and evading tackles.
The Texans’ offense has scored the second least amount of points per game this season (15.8) and the Browns have scored 23.9 points per game, that total of 39.7 well under what the oddsmakers predict for this matchup and given that four of Houston’s last five games have gone under the total points line, that seems like the way to go for this bet in Week 13.
Of course, this could also be a high-scoring affair since both of these teams have had their fair share of defensive struggles, with Cleveland’s squad coached by Joe Woods allowing 26 points per game and Houston’s group led by DC and HC Lovie Smith allowing opponents to score 23.6 points per game, that total of 49.6 a bit over what the sportsbooks are calling, so take that into account.

The Houston Texans are on a six game losing streak and the Cleveland Browns just beat Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Bucs, so the momentum is swinging in the visitor’s favor, but what could affect this game is how QB Watson responds to the Houston fans who will no doubt let him hear it not only for leaving their team after refusing to play but also for the serious offenses for which he was suspended.
The Browns HC Kevin Stefanski understands that if his team has any shot to make the playoffs, Cleveland has to win out the rest of the games this season, so this one means a lot to their squad and fans, with a $335 money line bet paying winners $100 plus their original investment, perhaps too much to risk on this team that is hot and cold in any given week.
Most of the Texans fans understand that this season is over and now each loss sets them up for a better offseason draft pick, but if any true believers have a gut feeling that Houston will upset Cleveland, wager a $100 on a money line bet and if you are right it will pay you $260 plus your wager, this matchup of interest to the rest of the league since they have also been following along with the drama.
