The 2nd game of the NFL’s Wild Card Sunday triple-header features the NFC’s 6th seed New York Giants facing the 3rd seed Minnesota Vikings, a rematch from Week 16 when the Vikings beat the Giants, 27-24, and all it took was a PK Greg Joseph’s kick – a franchise-record 61-yard field goal as time expired – to win the game, that kick made possible by a Justin Jefferson reception.

That Giants’ loss was despite QB Daniel “Dimes” Jones throwing for 334 yards and a TD with a turnover, the team’s 4th ranked run game featuring Saquon Barkley the scariest part of their offense, this Wild Card week facing a Vikings defense that is ranked 31st in the league after allowing opponents to gain almost 390 total yards and score just over 25 points per game.

The sportsbooks tell us that the Minnesota Vikings have won nine of their last 10 home games at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, an indoor venue where QB Kirk Cousins should have WR Justin Jefferson in his sights, that offensive duo leading the league in total receptions (128), receiving yards (1,809) and receiving yards per game (106.4), a tough job for the Giants’ 14th ranked pass defense.

One of the main reasons the New York Giants’ regular season started out so strong is their powerful top-4 run game, their 7-2 beginning to 2022 made possible with the help of RB Saquon Barkley, New York’s dual-threat playmaker who has posted 295 carries for 1,312 yards and 10 TDs along with 57 receptions for 338 yards in 2022, big tackling trouble for Vikings linebackers.

Watch for big plays from Minnesota’s best tacklers including LBs Danielle Hunter, Jordan Hicks, and Za’Darius Smith who is listed as questionable to play due to personal reasons, and since the oddsmakers are saying that six of the Vikings' last seven games have gone over the total points line, that’s how we are going with this bet, although the under can be justified, as well.

This last regular season, these two offenses combined for a total of 46.4 points each week, and their defenses allowed a combined 46.9 points per game, both under what this bet allows so consider that while placing your wager, though the fact that this game will be played indoors under ideal conditions could mean more passing and therefore more scoring in a playoff heightened atmosphere.

You don’t have to be a Minnesota Vikings fan to play this Wild Card Weekend player parlay, but it helps – DraftKings asking bettors to guess whether the team’s two major playmakers can have big games, as in WR Justin Jefferson catching for at least 100 yards and RB Dalvin Cook posting at least 100 rushing yards, offensive achievements that would most likely spell a Vikings win.

Jefferson is a 6’ 1” 195 ball-catching machine who is tough to cover and even tougher to tackle due to his elusiveness, this season with ten games where he posted at least 100 yards worth of receptions, including a Week 14 game where he more than doubled that (11 rec, 223 yds), a graceful route runner and spectacular ball catcher, he and QB Kirk Cousins should put on a show.

The other part of this Wild Card player parlay from DraftKings is Vikings RB Dalvin Cook, a 5’ 10” 210-pound relative speedster who can break big runs from out of the backfield, this the more challenging part of the parlay with Cook having posted just two 100+ rushing yards in games, plus with touches tough to get as a Viking with so many playmakers, his output could vary on Sunday.
