The Jaguars head on the road to take on the Zach Wilson-led New York Jets. With Wilson under center, this leaves little to be hopeful about when it comes to the team. With Wilson under center in Week 15, they managed just 17 points against the Lions, losing at home 20-17.
Wilson did pass for over 300 yards, just he completed just 51.4% of his passes, posting two touchdowns and an interception.
On the other side, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league over the last several weeks.
Since Week 12, Lawrence has had three 300+ yard games and three games with three or more passing touchdowns.
The Jets do have great cornerback play from Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed. They also have a great pass-rushing unit against this Jaguars' offensive line.
However, the Jaguars have a pretty solid pass rush in their own right, and Tyson Campbell has been playing well at outside cornerback.
The Jets have the better defense here, but we can’t trust Wilson to win or cover a spread.

We mentioned how both teams have competent defenses against critical parts of the others’ offense, but 36.5 points it’s a low bar to cross.
We mentioned how well Lawrence had played recently. He has two excellent receivers in Zay Jones and Christian Kirk. Jones is coming off a three-touchdown game, and we can’t forget about Jaguars running back Travis Etienne, who’s also played well this year.
Suppose this game goes in the direction we think, with Lawrence and the Jaguars leading. In that case, we could see a situation where Wilson is forced to pass a bunch, and he could finish with a similar stat line as last week—lots of passing yards, and a low completion rate.
