World Cup BTTS Predictions 2026 06 13 Granit Xhaka Switzerland

Qatar vs. Switzerland: BTTS No (-200) at BetMGM

Switzerland was no doubt delighted with the draw for the World Cup, which placed it with Canada, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Qatar in Group B. The Swiss is the favorite in the latest World Cup odds to advance to the knockout stage in first place, and it will get its campaign started with a win and a clean sheet against Qatar.

Switzerland caught the eye at Euro 2024, easing past Italy in the round of 16 before pushing England hard in the quarter-finals. Its team has not changed much over the last few years, ensuring continuity and coherence. Murat Yakin leads a well-coached team which will control this game against Qatar.

Host in 2022, Qatar lost all three matches and fell at the first hurdle. It only scored one goal across those games, and that was when it had home advantage. It arrives at this World Cup with an ageing roster which lacks individual quality in the final third.

Worryingly, Qatar has failed to score in four of its last five matches, recording zero goals against Palestine, Tunisia, the Republic of Ireland and El Salvador - none of which are as good as Switzerland, which recently shut out Erling Haaland and Norway in a 0-0 draw.

Manuel Akanji and Nico Elvedi form a solid center-back partnership. However, Switzerland will not need to do much last-ditch defending today, as Qatar will find it difficult to get established possession around the opponent’s penalty area. We recommend BTTS ‘no’ at -200 with BetMGM

Brazil vs. Morocco: BTTS Yes (+100) at BetMGM

The highlight of today’s World Cup action comes from the New York New Jersey Stadium, where Brazil kicks off its campaign against Morocco. This has the potential to be one of the most entertaining matches of the entire group stage, with goals at both ends a strong possibility.

For the last few months, it looked like Brazil would use a 4-2-4 formation at this tournament. Recently, though, Carlo Ancelotti appears to have had a rethink. Brazil had a better balance when he put an extra man in midfield against Panama, so a 4-2-3-1 system is in the works for the game against Morocco.

No matter the exact configuration, Brazil will cause their opponent’s backline plenty of problems. A front three of Raphinha, Matheus Cunha and Vinicius Junior would be gratefully accepted by most teams at this tournament. Igor Thiago, Gabriel Martinelli and Endrick provide alternatives off the bench.

Brazil has scored in eight consecutive games under Ancelotti, and its last failure to do so came in the unique circumstances of extreme altitude in Bolivia. The worry for the Selecao is that it has gone five matches without a clean sheet. In each of those fixtures, both teams found the back of the net.

Morocco will therefore back itself to score against Brazil. Because it is playing the group favorite first, there is little pressure on Morocco here. It can play with a sense of freedom, which should in turn aid its attacking output. Our Both Teams to Score tips include ‘yes’ in this game at +100 with BetMGM.

Haiti vs. Scotland: BTTS Yes (-105) at BetMGM

We conclude our soccer BTTS predictions today with Haiti vs Scotland, the second match in Group C. Haiti are about to end a 52-year wait for a second World Cup appearance, while this is Scotland’s first game on soccer’s grandest stage since 1998. Because of the nature of the group, we expect both teams to score at Boston Stadium.

Brazil and Morocco are the two strongest sides in Group C, and Haiti and Scotland will struggle to beat either of them. That puts the pressure on this opening game between the pair.

A defeat for either Haiti or Scotland on matchday one would leave it a precarious position even with two fixtures still to play. In short, a loss today would likely leave Haiti or Scotland needing to beat one of Brazil or Morocco to stand a chance of reaching the round of 32. On the other hand, a victory in their tournament opener would take some of the pressure off.

Stylistically, Scotland is better suited to facing teams that take the initiative, so the fact it is favorite in this match could pose a unusual problem. However, Steve Clarke’s team has a good recent record offensively, scoring in seven of its last nine games.

As for Haiti, a 4-0 thrashing of New Zealand in a warm-up friendly caught the eye. It has found the net in five of its last six matches and will aim to cause Scotland issues with its speed in transition. Round off today’s BTTS bets by opting for ‘yes’ at -105 with BetMGM.
