France is looking for its second victory of World Cup 2026 when it takes on Iraq, entering the matchup as massive favorites according to the latest World Cup Group Stage odds.

It was ordinary in the first half of its opening game against Senegal, but a tactical tweak at half-time proved decisive. Didier Deschamps moved Michael Olise into the No.10 role at the interval, and France ended up winning 3-1 to take a step towards the round of 32.

There were elements of Iraq’s display against Austria that would have pleased its manager Graham Arnold, but the team was ultimately too open defensively. That bodes ill for its chances in this clash with France. Up against Kylian Mbappe, Olise, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue, Iraq will spend most of this match on the back foot.

Norway vs. Senegal
