Basically all you need to do to claim a bonus is sign up with a sportsbook.

Which Colorado Sportsbooks Have the Best Bonuses?

While it’s true that some bonuses are simply more valuable than others, there also aren’t really too many hard and fast rules about what makes a bonus great. This is because everyone likes to bet differently, and values different things when it comes to bonuses.

Some bonuses are only really valuable when you can invest a fairly significant sum yourself. Others might offer players some bonus cash totally free, but the limit tends to be so small that higher rollers won’t be interested.

In this section, we’ve listed three of the top bonuses you can find in Colorado, to give you a sense of the options out there. Hit up our full sportsbook reviews for more info.

BetRivers kicks things off with a 100% deposit bonus, worth up to $250. Whatever your first deposit, the sportsbook will match it with bonus cash. If you deposit more than $250, you still receive $250 in bonus cash.

The gambling requirements are very reasonable too – you just need to bet all your bonus cash once to unlock it.

We’re big fans of this bonus from BetRivers, which is perfect for both low and mid to high-stakes players.

FanDuel’s welcome bonus on the other hand is really valuable as a one-off for higher stakes players.

It comes in the form of a risk-free bet. The first bet you place will be refunded in full if it loses, up to a huge $1,000. That means if you happen to be signing up to place a single $1,000 bet, this bonus is amazing.

Your lost bet is paid back in bonus cash, which you can unlock by gambling it once at odds of at least -200. This means you could lose your first huge bet, and then take your time trying to turn over the bonus cash to win your money back.

Draftkings welcome bonus is also worth up to $1,000, but in this case, it’s shared between a deposit bonus and a risk-free bet.

Both are worth up to $500 individually.

The deposit bonus is worth 20% of your first deposit, so to get the full value of $500 you would need to make a pretty sizable first-time deposit of $2,500. This is certainly out of the question for plenty of players.

For the risk-free bet, if your first bet loses DraftKings will refund it with bonus cash.

This bonus is likely to sound amazing to high-stakes players but less valuable for those who don’t bet as much.

What Is the Current Sports Betting Situation in Colorado?

Colorado sports betting kicked in at a pretty crazy time. In May 2020 the US was still reeling from coronavirus restrictions, all the major sports leagues were canceled, and Colorado residents didn’t exactly have a full menu to bet on.

Sportsbooks weren’t deterred though. By the end of the summer, at least seven sportsbooks had launched in the state, with just about double that expected to join them over the rest of 2020 and into 2021. US sites like FanDuel and DraftKings are already up and running, along with some platforms designed by local casinos. Huge names from European betting, including bet365 and Caesars Sportsbook, are expected to launch before too long. The future is bright in Colorado.
