Surrey vs Kent Prediction and Pick
The head-to-head records between these two teams are neck-and-neck. In the 38 past meetings, Surrey have won 19 matches while Kent have won 18 games, with one match not producing a winner.
However, there has been nothing neck-and-neck about them in the ongoing season, as Surrey have by far been the better side. Hence, we have predicted the Lions to win this match.

Table-Toppers Surrey Aim to Get Back to Winning Ways Against Basement Boys Kent
Surrey will take on Kent in the upcoming South Group match of the T20 Blast 2022, on Friday, 1st June. This match will be played at the Kennington Oval in London.
Surrey have enjoyed a fantastic run so far this season and are among the prime favourites to lift the trophy. With nine wins from 12 matches, they are sitting handsomely at the top of the pile in their group, and the focus must have already shifted to the quarter-finals.
Having said that, alarm bells must have started ringing at their camp for one particular reason. After being unbeaten in their first ten matches, Surrey suffered two back-to-back defeats against Sussex and Essex, and will do all they can to avoid a third consecutive defeat.
Kent are at the very opposite end of the spectrum, as they have not got going at all in this competition. They started their season with four consecutive defeats, and have overall won only three matches so far. However, it has to be taken into consideration that while Surrey have not been at their best recently, Kent did beat Sussex in their previous encounter.
Team News
Having lost their last couple of matches, Surrey will certainly look to fine-tune their team for this match and we could expect a couple of changes. Skipper Chris Jordan gave Tom Lawes a chance in the last match against Essex, but that move did not work out as Lawes went wicketless and could score only 6 runs.
In his place, Nico Reifer could be included in the team for this match. Besides that, Daniel Moriarty also went wicketless in the tie against Essex, and he now has scalped only one wicket after five appearances. Owing to his unsatisfactory display, Moriarty could be asked to vacate his position for Gus Atkinson.
Along similar lines, Kent will also look to make changes to their playing XI, but they are not spoiled for choices like their opposition. The one area where they could make a tweak in their bowling department.
Jaskaran Singh went wicketless in the last name, and he is still searching for his first scalp after two opportunities. He could be replaced by Matt Milnes, who might have been a tad expensive so far, but has seven wickets to his name to brag about.
Besides that, Kent will be forced to make another change, as their skipper Sam Billings has been included in the England team for the upcoming Test match against India. In his place, Jordan Cox could keep wickets for Kent.
Key Players
Sunil Narine: Irrespective of the competition, Sunil Narine remains a highly influential player in this format of the game, and his numbers for Surrey speak volumes about his contributions. The West Indian all-rounder has picked up 12 wickets while maintaining an economy rate of only 5.86 runs per over. To top it off, he also has scored 199 runs at a fantastic strike rate of 164.46.
Joe Denly: Joe Denly is not a part of the Three Lions set-up, and this in turn is a major source of relief for Kent. The opening batter has been in outstanding touch, and is one of the few consistent players from his team. Denly has scored 416 runs, maintaining an average of 37.81 and a strike rate of 124.17.
