Cloud9 vs Counter Logic Gaming Predictions

Cloud9 vs Counter Logic Gaming Pick

Pick: Cloud9 to win.

Cloud9 vs Counter Logic Gaming Predictions

Cloud9 have got highly favorable odds heading into this. Of course, this shouldn’t be a surprise since they were champions last summer and topped the regular season with 14 wins and four losses.

Counter Logic Gaming have to study what went wrong for Cloud9 in those four losses and target Cloud9’s weaknesses. Counter Logic Gaming were one of the teams to hand that loss to Cloud9, so they’ll be better equipped than most other sides to cause an upset,

There’ll be a temptation to bet on Counter Logic Gaming because the rewards for winning will be pretty high, but it’s very hard to see past a Cloud9 win in a best-of-five match. They have got far too much quality to play below par over five matches. Regardless of the result, this should be a fantastic tie.

Cloud9 Look Even Better Than Last Season

Cloud9 weren’t great in last summer’s regular season; they finished in fifth place before going on an incredible playoff run and winning the LCS Summer 2022. They’ve been the best side this regular season, which makes them an even more frightening prospect.

A big reason behind this improvement has been the form of the bot laner Berserker. He has been brilliant on all the relevant metrics. He has averaged 4.58 kills per game, 0.95 deaths per game, and 5.21 assists per game. Only the very best can put up stats like this. He gets his share of kills and assists and rarely dies while going about this. His teammates also deserve much credit because this wouldn’t be possible without sacrificing bits of their game.

Counter Logic Gaming can’t just focus on Berserker, though. The Cloud9 roster has got quality in every department. There’s no doubt that even if some of the members are having an off-game, Berserker will always put in a good shift. He has been incredibly consistent this season and has been a big reason behind Cloud9’s ascent.

Of course, Cloud9 have to be careful against their next opponent. Counter Logic Gaming were one of the few sides to get the better of them. Even ninth-place Immortals won a match against them this season, so they can’t let complacency set in. They’re heading into this tie on the back of a loss, which isn’t great preparation before such a big game.

They have to forget everything they’ve achieved in recent months and focus on the job at hand on Friday. This is an excellent opportunity for Cloud9 to build a dynasty.

Counter Logic Gaming Have the Potential to Cause an Upset

Counter Logic Gaming can be a frustrating watch. The team is clearly full of talent but doesn’t seem to rise to the occasion often enough. Last summer, they finished in fourth place on the regular season table before getting knocked out in a tight match against Team Liquid. This season, they’ve regressed a little, with eight losses on the board.

They started this season in really poor shape but recovered in recent weeks. The big question heading into the big match is: what sort of Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) will we get on Friday? Will it be the one that started the regular season in poor form or ended it on a relative high?

They’ve won their last three matches heading into this, including one against Cloud9. Of course, league matches differ from playoff matches, but they need to use the momentum in their favor. Cloud9 will be a bit nervous heading into this tie because of the recent loss, and CLG need to take advantage of that. They must put pressure on Cloud9 from the start and break Cloud9’s rhythm.

Bot laner Luger needs to put in a big display. He has averaged 3.68 kills per game, 1.63 deaths per game, and 4.42 deaths per game this season. His teammates also need to play the game of their lives, but he needs to lead from the front. If he plays to his potential and everyone else follows his lead, CLG could cause an upset.
