Best MLB Home Run Props Today: Look for Long Balls on the West Coast
Monday’s MLB schedule is a little abbreviated, so we had to do some deep thinking. We found one obvious candidate, but our three other picks all have excellent value for a home run prop.
The odds for Monday’s home run props come from FanDuel Sportsbook. FanDuel has great odds for prop bets and is giving new users $200 in bonus bets if they win their first wager.

Home Run Picks for Monday, June 16
Shohei Ohtani Anytime Home Run (+215) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Just because Ohtani is making his season debut as a pitcher doesn’t mean he can’t steal the show as a hitter. After all, he’ll still be the DH and will continue to hit even after leaving the game as a pitcher. Despite hitting just three home runs during the first half of June, Ohtani had two home runs on Saturday and remains a constant threat.
Ohtani is also 7 for 22 with three home runs in his career against Cease, so he’ll feel good about this matchup. Plus, Cease has gotten hit hard on the road, which is a bad omen despite tossing seven scoreless innings against the Dodgers in his last start.

Gunnar Henderson Anytime Home Run (+360) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Tampa’s Ryan Pepiot is on the list of pitchers who are always candidates to give up home runs. He’s conceded 13 long balls this season, with 11 of them coming at home. With the Rays hosting the Orioles on Monday, all of Baltimore’s power hitters are good candidates for a home run prop.
We chose Henderson because he’s 2 for 6 with a home run in his career against Pepiot. He’s also in the middle of an eight-game hitting streak that has included four multiple-hit games. Granted, Henderson doesn’t have any home runs during that stretch. But given the fact that he’s swinging a hot bat and playing in a minor-league stadium, he’ll have a good chance to take Pepiot deep.

Yandy Diaz Anytime Home Run (+540) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Diaz has also benefited from the Rays playing in a minor-league park this season. While he has a modest 10 home runs on the season, eight have come at home. Diaz also has five multiple-hit games in his last six starts, hitting two home runs during that stretch. He could not be any hotter right now, despite getting a rest on Sunday, so now is the time to strike while the iron is hot.
On Monday, Diaz has a favorable matchup against Baltimore’s Zach Eflin. He’s 2 for 6 with a home run against Eflin, who has allowed 10 home runs this season. While Eflin has been a tough egg to crack lately, he faces a tough Tampa lineup that destroyed the Mets over the weekend and has scored at least seven runs in four of the last six games. Diaz has been a key part of that and is an underrated power threat in Tampa’s lineup.

Ryan McMahon Anytime Home Run (+360) at FanDuel Sportsbook
McMahon is a surprising home run target because seven of his 10 homers this year have come at Coors Field, and the Rockies are on the road Monday. He’s also batting just .221, so this has not been his best year. But he does have a previous home run against Washington’s Jake Irvin, who has conceded three long balls over his last two starts.
Also, McMahon is another hitter who’s heating up, so now is the right time to target him. He’s hit four home runs in his last eight games, including two on the road over the weekend. McMahon has at least one hit in seven of his last nine games, so this has been his best stretch of the season, making him a good target for a home run prop.
