Chicago is looking for a series win against Miami after coming off a 14-1 victory in yesterday’s contest. The Cubs are looking to maintain sole possession of first place in the NL Central.

Cade Horton takes the mound for the Cubs and he is 2-0 in only nine innings this season, but I trust his pitch ability. He has seven strikeouts and a 1.22 WHIP in 2025. 

The Marlins will go with Max Meyer who is 3-4 with a 4.47 ERA. He has allowed 13 earned runs in his last three starts, and should struggle again.

Chicago is hitting .256 this season which is the eighth best in baseball. They should prevail against a struggling pitching staff. 

St. Louis is slowly climbing back in the division race and the Cubs need this series win badly. The Cardinals momentum should be the extra push they need to maintain first place.

Garrett Crochet has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, and the centerpiece of Boston’s rotation. Boston is 25-25, second place in the AL East just trailing the Yankees.

Tylor Megill will get the start for New York and he is 3-4 with a 3.74 ERA in 2025. In his last three starts he has pitched 12.2 innings, allowing 12 runs on 15 hits.

Dustin May will get the ball for the Dodgers and he has 41 strikeouts in 44.2 innings in 2025. May could definitely have better numbers at this point in the season, but he should be able to handle Arizona. 

The Diamondbacks are going with Corbin Burnes who is 3-1 with a 2.56 ERA this season. He has been a top pitcher in the MLB for a few seasons, but I think he struggles against Los Angeles. 

Los Angeles tends to play great against better competition and especially top-notch pitchers. Burnes could be the wakeup call the Dodgers need to start driving in runs at the plate.
