The Cy Young and MVP award candidates will be on full display Saturday with a loaded MLB slate. The best players in the sport make for perfect prop bets, and we have located a few on FanDuel Sportsbook.

The headlining game with all the stars is at 4:06 PM ET when the Dodgers face the Cubs. Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Jordan Wicks will take the ball, and we expect a ton of offense.

Many bonuses are available on FanDuel through our exclusive link for new customers. If you bet $5 on FanDuel, you can receive $200 in bonus bets instantly, which is perfect for the weekend.

Best MLB Prop Bets This Weekend: Dodgers vs. Cubs (4:05 PM, EST)

Mookie Betts 2+ Total Bases (-120) at FanDuel

Mookie Betts has been having a career season and is the frontrunner in the National League MVP market. Betts is one of the best players on the most dominant team in the sport.

Betts is batting .447, which is fourth in Major League Baseball. Even at 5’9” and 180 pounds, he leads the league in homers with five to begin the season. He is also first in OPS at 1.527 and second in RBIs with 11.

Betts is coming off a challenging game against the Cubs, going 1-5 with a strikeout in a 9-7 loss. However, he is excellent at rebounding after a difficult performance, and this is what we expect based on the pitching matchup.

Jordan Wicks will pitch for the Cubs, and he had a rough start to open the season. The pitcher has a 4.5 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP. He has walked three batters and allowed five hits in four innings.

Wicks has solid strikeout ability when he gets ahead in counts but consistently pitches from behind. Betts in a hitter’s count is very dangerous, so look for him to succeed.

Total bases is an excellent bet for Betts because he uses all sides of the ballpark and can hit the over on a single swing. Even though he is coming off a bad game, we don’t recommend fading him on Saturday.

Best MLB Prop Bets This Weekend: Red Sox vs. Angels (4:08 PM, EST)

Reid Detmers Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-156) at FanDuel

The Boston Red Sox are tied for first place in the American League East with the New York Yankees. Even though they have faced the Mariners, Athletics, and Angels for a single game, this is still a huge accomplishment.

Boston doesn’t have the best team, as shown by their play, but they’re finding ways to win baseball games, which is very valuable. However, the Red Sox have a massive challenge against Los Angeles on Saturday because they must face Reid Detmers.

Detmers is an elite pitcher who is only 24 years old. In his last start, he was fantastic against the Orioles, pitching five innings and allowing just two hits with one walk. The best part about Detmers’ game is his strikeout ability, which is apparent when he carved up seven players for Baltimore.

The Orioles lineup is much better than the Red Sox, and he is also pitched like this on the road. Now, Detmers is at home and will face a Boston lineup that will strike out a lot.

The Red Sox are the sixth-worst strikeout team in Major League Baseball. They’re hitting .254 as a team, which isn’t terrible, but many players strike out and don’t seem ready for the show.

If Bobby Dalbec is in the lineup, Detmers should have two extra strikeouts. Dalbec has five strikeouts in six at-bats this season.
