Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Hitter-Heavy Props to End the Week
Thursday was our first day in the black since the all-star break, which makes us even more motivated to keep it going and finish the week strong. To do that, we’re going to focus primarily on hitters Friday. There are several hitters who are just raging hot at the moment, and we’re hoping to ride that momentum. The odds we’re using on Friday are from Caesars Sportsbook, which is giving new customers a bonus bet of up to $1,000 if they lose their first wager.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Padres vs. Orioles (7:05 PM, EST)
Anthony Santander Over 0.5 RBI (+120) at Caesars
Since the all-star break, Santander has driven in nine runs in six games. Granted, he had five RBI in one game, but he still has at least one RBI in three of his last five games. He’s also the no. 3 hitter in a Baltimore lineup that has a favorable matchup on Friday against San Diego’s Adam Mazur, who has a 7.84 ERA. Mazur has allowed at least four runs in his last three starts, so we assume the Orioles will do some damage against him. With Gunnar Henderson and Jordan Westburg in front of him, Santander should have plenty of RBI opportunities in this game.

Nestor Cortes Under 16.5 Outs Recorded (-115) at Caesars
Cortes is the one pitcher we’re targeting on Friday, and we’re choosing to fade him. Even before the all-star break, the lefty just didn’t look like himself. He’s allowed at least five runs in back-to-back starts, although both outings were against the same team. Nevertheless, Cortes has failed to finish five innings in three of his last five starts. The Yankees are also 1-7 in his last eight starts, so the leash will be short. Plus, Cortes faced the Red Sox less than a month ago, which means Boston’s lineup should have more success against him and knock him out early again.
Juan Soto Over 1.5 Hits (+184) at Caesars
Obviously, over 1.5 total bases is a safer bet, but we feel good about Soto getting multiple hits on Friday. In six games since the all-star break, Soto has at least two hits four times. He also had a run of four straight multi-hit games earlier this month, so another multi-hit game isn’t far-fetched. Keep in mind Soto and the Yankees are facing righty Brayan Bello, who owns a 5.27 ERA and has allowed 63 hits over his last 48.1 innings since the start of June. He’s vulnerable to giving up a lot of hits, which is why we think Soto can get a couple of them.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Cubs vs. Royals (8:10 PM, EST)
Bobby Witt Jr. Over 1.5 Hits (+106) at Caesars
Witt continues to be the hottest hitter in baseball after the all-star break. He’s collected at least three hits in five of his six games since the break. Obviously, it’d be foolish not to bet on him to keep it going until he shows signs of cooling off. It helps that Witt and the Royals will face Kyle Hendricks on Friday. While he’s been a little better lately, Hendricks still owns a 6.69 ERA this season. He’s not a pitcher anybody should be counting on to have success against a great hitter like Witt who’s red-hot at the moment.

Ezequiel Tovar Over 1.5 Total Bases (+126) at Caesars
We probably haven’t targeted Tovar enough this season, but we will now because he’s also one of the hottest hitters in baseball. If you go back before the break, Tovar has multiple hits in eight of his last 10 games. He also has nine extra-base hits during that stretch, so he’s crushing the ball while also collecting multiple hits. Tovar also has a favorable matchup on Friday, going 4 for 12 in his career against San Francisco starter Kyle Harrison. He's simply too hot to ignore right now, especially since we’re getting plus odds on him to collect multiple bases.
