Best NRFI Bets Today: Fade a Pair of AL Central Offenses
Expect the Minnesota Twins offense to continue to underwhelm as they are set to face off against the Cleveland Guardians Logan Allen who excels at keeping opposing runners out of scoring position. Later in the night, we fade the Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants struggling lineups as they are set to battle it out against a pair of productive arms on the mound.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Minnesota Twins - Logan Allen vs. Bailey Ober (7:40 PM, EST)
Under 0.5 Run (-135) at BetMGM Sportsbook
After chipping away at the Detroit Tigers lead at the top of the division standings by winning nine of their last ten games, the Minnesota Twins have reasserted themselves back in the race for the AL Central division title. Even during their impressive win streak, the Twins offense still struggled to play at a competitive level as their lineup currently ranks below league average in Team Total Hits, RBIs, Total Runs Scored, and in On Base Percentage.
Against Cleveland, expect the Twins to continue to struggle with bringing home their runners as they face off against Logan Allen who excels at keeping opposing offenses out of scoring position as his ERA of 3.70 indicates. While his WHIP of 1.524 is a cause for concern, Allen gets the benefit of throwing against a lineup who underwhelms with getting on base. Expect positive regression to swing towards Allen’s way while keeping a clean sheet in the first inning.
On the other side of the field, Bailey Ober is also in a position to thrive as the Minnesota Twins pitcher faces off against a Guardians lineup who also ranks below league average in the same previously mentioned metrics. Like Allen, Ober excels at keeping opposing runners out of scoring position as he averages an ERA of 3.72 and FIP of 3.93. Minnesota’s back end also gives him a high level of support as the Twins defense ranks top-15 in Defensive Efficiency.

Kansas City Royals vs. San Francisco Giants - Kris Bubic vs. Robbie Ray (9:45 PM, EST)
Under 0.5 Run (-135) at FanDuel Sportsbook
While the Twins have climbed up the AL Central division standings, the Kansas City Royals have trended in the wrong direction as their offense continues to underwhelm. As of writing, the Royals offense ranks 27th in Total Runs Scored, 27th in RBIs, and 26th in On Base Percentage. Their star slugger Salvador Perez has failed to give them a high level of production in the top of their order as their power hitter possesses a Batting Average of 0.223 and a OPS of 0.590.
Unfortunately for Perez and the rest of the Royals offense, they face off against the San Francisco Giants Robbie Ray who excels at avoiding contact. Heading into Monday’s contest, Ray averages less than one Hit Against per Inning Pitched, an ERA of 3.04, and a FIP of 3.75. Ray is also surrounded by a very productive back end as the Giants defense ranks above league average in Defensive Efficiency and in Fielding Percentage.
As for Kris Bubic, the Royals pitcher will have the opportunity to build his case for the AL Cy Young award as he also faces off against an offense who also struggles with making contact and getting on base at a consistent rate. Bubic has been dominant this year as he takes the mound averaging an ERA of 1.66, a WHIP of 1.104, and less than one Hit Against per Inning Pitched. With both pitchers in a position to thrive, expect no runs to be scored in the first inning.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - Brandon Pfaadt vs. Landon Knack - Expect the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers top of their orders to open up the scoring in the first inning as both offenses face off against a pair of pitchers who average over one Hit Against per Inning Pitched and a FIP higher than 4.00.
