Best NRFI Bets Today 2026 07 08 Blue Jays Dylan Cease

Toronto Blue Jays vs. San Francisco Giants - Dylan Cease vs. Logan Webb (3:45 PM, EST)

Dylan Cease has the opportunity to strengthen his claim for the AL Cy Young award against San Francisco, taking advantage of a lineup who grades out poorly on offense. A dominant performance could significantly shift the AL Cy Young odds in his favor as he continues to chase the frontrunner.

Under 0.5 Run (-155) at BetMGM Sportsbook

Since the start of the regular season, Dylan Cease has been able to climb up the oddsboard for the AL Cy Young award by averaging an ERA of 2.79, a WHIP of 1.185, and a FIP of 2.26. Cease’s success on the mound stems from his power and command, generating well over one Strikeout per inning.

Heading into Wednesday’s contest against the San Francisco Giants, expect Cease to build on his momentum by attacking a lineup who ranks near dead last in RBIs, Runs Scored, and in On Base Percentage. Even with his back end struggling in coverage, Cease will be able to mask it by creating Strikeouts at a high rate, holding the Giants scoreless in the first inning.

On the other side of the field, Logan Webb gets the start for the Giants, an aggressive arm who is averaging a FIP of 3.32 and a WHIP of 1.168. With the Blue Jays residing in the bottom half of the board in Hit Rate, Webb will be able to neutralize their bats at the plate by avoiding contact and keep a clean sheet.

Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox - Jake Bennett vs. Davis Martin (7:40 PM, EST)

With both lineups struggling to make contact, expect no Runs to be scored in the first inning with Jake Bennett and Davis Martin on the mound.

Under 0.5 Run (-115) at BetMGM Sportsbook

Even after winning their last four games in a row, the Boston Red Sox odds of winning the AL East are slim, sitting 12.0 games back from first in the division standings. Their lack of production on offense brings in a high amount of variance in their contest, ranking below league average in Hit Rate, RBIs, Runs Scored, and in On Base Percentage. Consequently, sportsbooks have tanked their AL East odds, making them a massive longshot to take the division title.

Against the Chicago White Sox, expect the Red Sox to continue to underwhelm on offense as they face off against Davis Martin who is averaging an ERA of 3.08 and a FIP of 3.08. Especially with his back end narrowing the width of the Red Sox gaps in the outfield with their coverage, surrounding Martin with a group who ranks in the top-15 in Fielding Percentage.

Like Martin, his opponent Jake Bennett has also been efficient this season, kicking off his 2026 campaign with a WHIP of 0.984 while giving up less than one Hit Against per inning. With the White Sox hovering near the bottom of the board in Hit Rate, expect Bennett to create Whiffs at a higher rate and exit the first inning without conceding a Run.

  • Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - Ryan Feltner vs. Roki Sasaki - Expect the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers to open up the scoring early as they face off against a pair of pitchers who are averaging an ERA higher than 4.00 while creating less than one Whiff per inning.
