Best NRFI Bets Today: Back a Cy Young Contender to Dazzle Against the Red Sox
With the Boston Red Sox bats starting to cool off, the Toronto Blue Jays' Dylan Cease will be able to strengthen his position in the AL Cy Young odds by taking advantage of their sporadic play at the plate. Shortly after their opening pitch, we turn our attention towards the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals with a pair of productive arms projected to get the start.

Boston Red Sox vs. Toronto Blue Jays - Patrick Sandoval vs. Dylan Cease (7:07 PM, EST)
With the Boston Red Sox struggling to make contact, Dylan Cease will be able to neutralize the top of their order and keep a clean sheet.
Under 0.5 Run (-145) at BetMGM Sportsbook
In his first year with the Toronto Blue Jays, Dylan Cease has been able to build a strong case for the AL Cy Young award, averaging an ERA of 2.28, a WHIP of 1.045, and a FIP of 2.20. Cease’s brilliance on the mound can be attributed to his Whiff Rate, giving up less than four Hits Against per game.
In an AL East divisional matchup against the Boston Red Sox that could shift the AL East odds, Cease will be able to put together another dominant performance, battling it out against a lineup who ranks below league average in Hit Rate, RBIs, and in Runs Scored. Even with his defense struggling to hold their own in coverage, Cease is able to mask it with his individual production, lowering the risk of getting countered by an Error.
Facing off against Cease, Patrick Sandoval is expected to get the start for the Red Sox, an efficient arm who is averaging an ERA of 3.38 while generating more than one Strikeout per inning. With the Blue Jays plummeting to 28th in Hit Rate, Sandoval will be able to generate a higher volume of K’s and hold them scoreless in the first inning.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. St. Louis Cardinals - Cristopher Sanchez vs. Andre Pallante (7:45 PM, EST)
Expect no Runs to be scored in the first inning with Cristopher Sanchez and Andre Pallante attacking a pair of lineups who get on base at a low rate.
Under 0.5 Run (-110) at BetMGM Sportsbook
Like Cease, Christopher Sanchez has also been able to hover near the top of the oddsboard for the Cy Young award, averaging an ERA of 2.65 and a FIP of 2.69. His success has led to an impressive record, leading the NL in Wins while going 15-4 in 24 starts.
Heading into Tuesday night’s contest against the St. Louis Cardinals, Sanchez will be able to thrive while exploiting a lineup who resides in the bottom half of the board in Hit Rate and in On Base Percentage. Especially with his back end blanketing the Cardinals gaps in the outfield, surrounding him with a group who ranks in the top-15 in Fielding Percentage.
On the other side of the field, Andre Pallante has also been able to get off to a hot start this season, averaging an ERA of 3.63 while giving up less than one Hit Against per inning. With Pallante forcing Philadelphia to match his aggression while ambushing the plate, the Phillies will lose control of their swings and struggle to get on base in the first inning.
