Best MLB Home Run Predictions Today: Cashing in on Chourio’s Hot Bat
Brewer’s star Jackson Chourio missed the first month of the season after fracturing his hand during the World Baseball Classic. While he only posted two home runs over his first 25 games, the young slugger launched two more yesterday.
We’re betting on his hot bat to continue tonight as he heads to Coors Field.

Home Run Picks for Friday, June 5
There are some fantastic home run props out there today, but some stand above the rest. Below are the players we’re locked in on.
Jackson Chourio Anytime Home Run (+290) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Chourio had only two home runs through June 3; we attribute that to the hand injury that landed him on the IL to start the season. It took the young star time to get comfortable at the plate, which he has done to begin June. He is now batting .308 with four home runs and is suddenly swinging one of the hottest bats in the NL.
In his first three games of the month, the outfielder went 5-9 at the plate with a pair of doubles. His power finally returned on June 4 when he launched two home runs on three hits against the Giants. With the Crew now headed to Coors Field to face the Rockies, there is plenty of reason to believe his power surge will continue.
Chourio will be facing Colorado starter Ryan Feltner (2-1, 4.85 ERA, 1.31 WHIP) to start Friday’s game. The righty has been impressive at home this season, going 2-0 with a 3.79 ERA. He’s fantastic at generating ground balls, but the high elevation in Denver means the possibility of surrendering home runs remains elevated during each at-bat.
One reason we are willing to bet on Chourio with Feltner on the mound is the Rockies’ bullpen. They rank in the bottom five of the league in ERA (4.94), thanks partly to allowing the fourth most home runs (34).

Pete Crow-Armstrong Anytime Home Run (+350) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The young Cubs star had a brutal start to the season, but his bat has finally begun to heat up of late. He’s currently riding an eight-game hit streak and has gone 9-20 with three home runs over his last five games, finally showing us why he was a top candidate in the MLB MVP odds for much of last season.
PCA and the Cubs will be up against Robbie Ray (3-6, 4.45 ERA, 1.40 WHIP) to start this one. The former Cy Young winner is off to a tough start in 2026, dropping completely out of the Cy Young odds conversation, and his inability to keep the ball in the park is a big reason why. He has already allowed 13 after surrendering 22 all of last season.
Given that he allowed over 30 in his previous two full seasons, the southpaw's current struggles are more than a fluke.
Speaking of southpaws, that is one area where PCA has actually improved in 2026. After batting .188 against left-handed pitching last year, he’s raised that to .275 to start this season. His .788 OPS is almost a full point higher than the .691 OPS he owns against righties.

James Wood Anytime Home Run (+300) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Nationals slugger is off to another great start in 2026, posting 16 home runs and a .929 OPS. While he has gone 1-11 at the plate to start June, there is reason to believe that will change tonight in Phoenix.
A big reason we love this bet is D-backs starter Merrill Kelly (5-3, 5.06 ERA, 1.46 WHIP), who will be on the mound tonight. The 37-year-old returned to Arizona this season, but has failed to replicate his previous success with the team. He’s been especially bad at home, where he has posted a 6.23 ERA and .296 OBA, giving us extra reason to bet against him.
Speaking of Arizona’s Chase Field, James Wood has enjoyed his time playing there over his first two MLB seasons. He owns a .286 over 21 at-bats there, and registered his first home run there last season. With Kelly on the mount today, we expect that success to continue for Wood.
