The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Washington Wizards face off with both teams having eyes on a higher seed in their conference. The Cavaliers are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 33-22 overall record and an 11-16 road record. The Wizards are 10th in the East with a 24-28 overall record and a 12-11 home record.
A team that thrives on their defense, the Cleveland Cavaliers allow just 106.9 points per game (1st in the NBA) on 46.6% from the field (9th in the NBA) while forcing 15.1 turnovers per game (10th in the NBA). They were dominant on both ends of the court in their last game, a win over the Pacers, as they scored 122 points on 52.3% from the field and 40.5% from three while allowing just 103 points on 43.5% from the field and 25.0% from three. The Wizards are known for their interior defense and rebounds, allowing just 46.3% from the field (5th in the NBA) and 52.3% from the two-point range (5th in the NBA). They fell short in their last game though, losing to the Brooklyn Nets, as they allowed 125 points on 50.0% from the field and 42.4% from deep.
Cleveland enter this game on the second leg of a road back-to-back against the Wizards. Cleveland are a great defensive team, but the Wizards' court matches surprisingly well out of them. We're taking Washington for the upset, as their shooting bigs can change the game against a road-weary Cavaliers side.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors are fighting for position in the Western Conference, with just 1.5 games between them. The Warriors are eighth in the West with a 27-26 overall record and a 20-6 home record. The Thunder are 12th in the West with a 25-27 overall record but own a 9-16 road record.
The Thunder love to push the pace, as they average 117.3 points per game (5th in the NBA) on 92.8 field goal attempts per game (1st in the NBA) while forcing 16.7 turnovers per game (1st in the NBA). They were unstoppable in their last game, scoring 153 points on 57.7% shooting and 45.7% shooting from three-point range. The Warriors are a dangerous scoring team in their own right, averaging 118.0 points per game (2nd in the NBA) while hitting 16.4 threes per game (1st in the NBA) on 38.1% efficiency (5th in the NBA). While they won their last game over the Dallas Mavericks, they didn't escaped unscathed as they lost Stephen Curry to injury.
The Warriors are a solid team, but they're rather disconnected when Stephen Curry is out of the lineup. Given the aggressive, up-and-down nature of the Thunder, they should be able to take advantage of a shorthanded Warriors team with limited depth.

The Milwaukee Bucks are set to take advantage of an inconsistent Portland Trail Blazers team. The Bucks are currently second in the Eastern Conference, owning a 36-17 overall record and a 13-12 road record. The Trail Blazers are 11th in the Western Conference, with a 26-27 overall record and a 14-11 home record.
The Bucks' defensive versatility it well-known across the NBA, allowing teams just 111.8 points per game (6th in the NBA) on 45.4% from the field and 34.8% from three (5th in the NBA). They won their last game, a 115-123 victory over the Heat, as they were able to control the glass 51-44 and hold their opponents to 25.8% shooting from three. The Trail Blazers will put their shooting against Milwaukee, averaging 13.0 made threes per game (8th in the NBA) on 37.7% from beyond the arc (7th in the NBA). They dropped their last game, a 129-121 loss, as the Trail Blazers weren't able to contain the Bulls - allowing them to shoot 60.0% from the field and 46.2% from deep.
We're taking the Bucks in this matchup. Milwaukee's defense can be masterful at times, and they are in excellent form. While the Trail Blazers have offensive threats of their own, their defense is too porous to make a difference.
