Both the Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat are looking to get back on to a more positive run when they face off on Wednesday night. The Pacers are currently 10th in the Easter Conference with a 25-30 overall record and an 8-18 road record. The Miami Heat are just a half-game safe at sixth in the East, owning a 29-25 overall record and a 17-9 home record.
The Indiana Pacers are a gritty team, averaging 8.0 steals per game (7th in the NBA), 5.9 blocks per game (3rd in the NBA), and 26.4 assists per game (6th in the NBA). Despite their willingness from deep, the Indiana Pacers lost their last game 103-122 as they could only convert on eight threes on 25.0% efficiency. The Miami Heat will challenge them with their tough defense, as they allow just 108.4 points per game (2nd in the NBA) while forcing 16.4 turnovers (3rd in the NBA) and collecting 8.5 steals per game (3rd in the NBA). The Miami Heat are coming off a 115-123 loss in their last game, as they allowed the Bucks to shoot 52.3% from the field and win the rebounding battle 51-44.
We're taking the Pacers in this game, despite their down run of form. The Heat are missing a bunch of players, especially from the perimeter. Indiana's guards should be able to create against the Heat reserves, despite Miami's solid team defense.

Both the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs are near the bottom of their conferences, but that doesn't mean this won't be an interesting match. The San Antonio Spurs rest at 14th in the Western Conference with a 14-40 overall record and a 5-19 road record. The Toronto Raptors are currently 11th in the East, owning a 25-30 overall record and a 15-12 home record.
San Antonio, as per the quality of their coaching, are a disciplined and aggressive team that averages 27.2 assists per game (3rd in the NBA) while collecting 11.9 offensive rebounds per game (7th in the NBA). Unfortunately, their offense was dreadful in their last game, a loss to the Bulls, as they scored just 104 points on 44.4% from the field and 30.8% from three-point range. The Toronto Raptors are a hard-nosed defensive team that allows just 112.4 points per game (9th in the NBA) while forcing 16.6 turnovers per game (2nd in the NBA). Toronto are coming off of a hard-fought win over the Grizzlies in their last game, where they held Memphis to just 103 points by forcing 20 turnovers on the night.
The Toronto Raptors fairly project to be the winner in this matchup. Not only do they have home-court advantage, but the last time they faced the Spurs they won 143-100. Don't expect the Spurs' offense to be able to keep pace with Toronto, and as per usual turnovers should push the game in the Raptors' favor.

The Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers meet once again to reignite their exciting rivalry. The Warriors are currently seventh in the Western Conference with a 28-26 overall record, but a dreadful 7-20 road record. The Portland Trail Blazers have fallen to 11th in the West, with a 26-28 overall record and a 14-12 home record.
The Warriors remain one of the league's premiere offensive teams, averaging 118.4 points per game (2nd in the NBA) and converting on 16.6 threes per game (1st in the NBA) on 38.4% efficiency from deep (5th in the NBA). Golden State are coming off of an incredible win, where they scored 141 points with 26 made threes on 52.0% from deep. The Trail Blazers will challenge them with their own three-point attack, as they averaged 114.5 points per game (16th in the NBA) while hitting 12.9 threes per game (8th in the NBA) on 37.4% efficiency (7th in the NBA). Unfortunately, the Trail Blazers lost their last game as they allowed 127 points from their opponents on 54.0% allowed from the field and 38.1% from three.
It projects to be an all-offense meeting between these two teams so buckle in. The Warriors will be without Stephen Curry, but they showed in their last game that plenty of players are ready to step up. The Portland Trail Blazers will oblige the pace, but their defensive issues should hold them back from taking the win.
