Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks Predictions and Picks

Our Pick
The Milwaukee Bucks are getting outplayed through two matches against the Brooklyn Nets. First game on their home court, the Bucks are sure to put on a stronger fight. But the Nets have been incredibly efficient with their offence and don’t look as if the Bucks can slow them down.

BKN: Keep Shooting!

The Brooklyn Nets are on fire this series and they look like they’re fully capable of sweeping the Milwaukee Bucks. A big reason for their success is because of their tremendous shooting.

In Game 2 against the Bucks, the Nets converted on 21 of their 42 three-point field goals. They also led for all but 33 seconds of the game, putting the Bucks away early.

If the Nets can get off to a strong start, the Bucks haven’t shown the ability to catch up with their scoring rate.

Nets Key Player: (F) Kevin Durant

The Brooklyn Nets have been incredible on the offensive side of the ball. Despite the Bucks throwing different looks at him, Kevin Durant has overcome every challenge put in front of him.

In Game 2, Kevin Durant posted 32 points, six assists, and four rebounds. He was fantastic from the field as well, converting on 12 of his 18 field goals and four of his six three-pointers.

He’s too much of a threat for the Bucks to handle and despite P.J. Tucker’s defensive ability Durant either succeeds on his own or creates for others. If Durant puts in another efficient performance, going up 3-0 is very realistic.

MIL: Get Back to Basics

The Milwaukee Bucks got blown out in Game 2 against the Brooklyn Nets. They shot poorly from three, and barely got to the line. Milwaukee need to get to enforce their gameplan if they want to claim their first win in the series.

Head coach Mike Budenholzer had the Bucks play at a high pace during the regular season, ranking fourth in fastbreak points (14.4) per game.

The Bucks need to find their legs early in Game 3 if they want to compete with the Nets in Game 3. If they can’t they’ll be on the brink of elimination and without a win.

Bucks Key Player: (F) Giannis Antetokounmpo

All of the Milwaukee Bucks’ struggles stem from the struggles of Giannis Antetokounmpo. If the Greek Freak can’t get his offence going, the Bucks struggle to initiate their offence.

In Game 2 against the Nets, Antetokounmpo posted just 18 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists on eight of 15 shooting.

Milwaukee need Antetokounmpo to succeed at the rim if they want to win Game 3. Brooklyn is packing the paint to slow Antetokounmpo down, and the Bucks’ role players aren’t stepping up. But at the heart of it all, Antetokounmpo needs to be more productive.
