NYK: Keep Finding Good Looks
While the New York Knicks came up against a game Memphis defense in their last game, they were able to manufacture some excellent looks with their movement.
All but two Knicks players that stepped onto the court recorded an assist. New York was scorching hot from three-point range, converting on 14 of their 27 attempts.
The Nuggets have one of the league’s better three-point defenses, so New York’s ability to find good shots will be put to the test.
Knicks Key Player: (G-F) RJ Barrett

The Knicks’ performance this season has been possible due to the improvement of second-year guard RJ Barrett.
Barrett has improved across the board. In his last game, he posted 15 points and seven rebounds on five of 12 shooting.
The Canadian’s ability to handle the ball, on top of scoring and distributing, is invaluable to the Knicks. His versatility will be key against a long Denver defense.
DEN: Who Will Support Jokic?
The Denver Nuggets are coming off of a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Many of their issues stemmed from the fact that the Nuggets struggled to support Nikola Jokic’s big night.
Outside of Michael Porter and Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets starters combined for just 16 points. The bench production was similarly reserved, scoring just 22 points on the night.
If Denver tries to win the game through Jokic’s efforts alone, they will surely fail. A player to keep an eye on is point guard Facundo Campazzo, who can do even more to get his teammates involved.

— Denver Nuggets (@nuggets) May 2, 2021
Nuggets center Nikola Jokic is one of the players at the top of the MVP race. While he’s done his best to keep his team afloat, he’s been doing most of the heavy lifting.
In his last game against the Lakers, Jokic posted 32 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. It was unfortunately on just 12 of 28 shooting from the field.
On top of scoring efficiently, Jokic can focus on getting his teammates going. His five assists in his last game are well below his season average.
