Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers Predictions and Pick
The Toronto Raptors were able to enforce their signature defence against the Sixers in Game 4, earning them the win. However, with home-court advantage and a re-focused Joel Embiid, the Sixers’ offence should overwhelm Toronto to a win.

Philadelphia 76ers def. Toronto Raptors

How Can the Raptors Beat the Sixers?
Despite splitting their last two games, you could easily say that Toronto have been the more dominant team throughout the matches. Known for their length and defensive acumen, the Raptors need to force the Sixers into mistakes.
Over their last two games, the Philadelphia 76ers committed a combined 37 turnovers. In comparison, Philadelphia committed just 17 turnovers through Games 1 and 2. When the Raptors defence is locked-in, they are a real threat to the Sixers.
Considering the Sixers are shooting almost 50% from the field and just over 45% from three-point range, the Raptors’ last bastion of defence is forcing turnovers. If they can’t force and capitalize on Sixers mistakes, the Raptors won’t have enough offensively to salvage a win.
Raptors Key Player: (F) Pascal Siakam

With Fred VanVleet likely unavailable for this matchup, even more pressure will be on Pascal Siakam to produce in Game 5. He was brilliant in Toronto’s Game 4 elimination game, but Game 5 will be his biggest test yet.
In Toronto’s Game 4 victory, Siakam posted 34 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks in 43 minutes of play. He is a tireless worker, shooting 10 of 19 from the field and 13 of 15 from the line in 43 minutes of play.
The Toronto Raptors have experienced the fairest whistle of the series in their two home games against the Sixers. Considering they’ll be back in Philadelphia, Siakam will need to be more efficient with his jumper to make up for an expected lack of attempts from the line.
How Can the Sixers Beat the Raptors?
The Philadelphia 76ers are just one win away from the second round of the NBA Playoffs. While they struggled in their last two games, the home court should give them a great boost to their chances. If they want to win, the Sixers must be aggressive from the jump.
While the quality of the officiating has been suspect at times, the fact of the matter remains, the Sixers’ ability to get to the free-throw line is a difference-maker. Through four games, the Sixers have made more free throws (91) than the Raptors have even attempted (88).
With the foul drawing ability of Harden and Embiid, they can make a massive difference in how the Raptors play defence. Should they continue to find success drawing fouls, it’ll only create more opportunities for them from the perimeter.
Sixers Key Player: (C) Joel Embiid

— Rob Perez (@WorldWideWob) April 23, 2022
The Philadelphia 76ers live and die by the performance of Joel Embiid. He was visibly frustrated in Game 4, and his struggles played a massive factor in the Sixers’ loss.
Embiid is coming off of a performance where he posted 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists on 43.8% shooting from the field. He is doing a good job scoring the ball and getting to the line, but he continues to turn over the ball at a high rate, committing a team-high 5 in Game 4.
The Sixers will hope that Embiid can stay engaged for the entirety of Game 5, as his mentality failed him as the Game 4 wore on. Still shooting efficiently from the field, the only thing that will stop Embiid from winning this game is his own focus.
