While the Golden State Warriors are looking to bounce back with a new win streak, the New York Knicks are looking to extend theirs to eight straight games. The New York Knicks now find themselves sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 17-13 record. The Warriors on the other hand are now 11th in the West, with a 15-16 overall record and a 3-14 road record.
The Warriors are coming off of a road win their last game, despite key players Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins being unavailable. The Knicks have been excellent over their seven-game win streak, most recently winning three on the road against their Eastern Conference rivals.

The New York Knicks and the Golden State Warriors are both looking to build off of their recent runs of form. The Warriors finally cut off their three-game losing streak with a dominant win over the Toronto Raptors in their last game. The Knicks, on the other hand, have won their last seven games in impressive fashion.
The Warriors usually struggle due to their defence, but their offence was too much to handle in their last game. Golden State shot 53.1% from the field and converted 18 three-pointers on 46.2% efficiency in their most recent win. The Knicks will be difficult for them to handle though. New York's defence has held their opponents to 43.0% from the field and 27.6% from three-point range through their seven-game win streak - a difficult trend for the Warriors to compete with.
The Warriors are definitely a team that scrape by through the strength of their offence, but the Knicks' defence will be incredibly difficult for them to overcome. With New York's strength in the paint and the league's eighth-ranked defence, it's New York's game to lose.
When the New York Knicks and the Golden State Warriors take each other on, you'd expect a decently impressive scoring affair. However, with the Warriors' recent struggles and the Knicks' impressive defensive play, it's fair to question the outcome of this matchup. Injuries will also play a factor in this game, specifically with Stephen Curry unavailable.
The New York Knicks allow 114.1 points per game and allow just 112.2 points per game, but they averaged just 112.7 while allowing 98.3 over their recent seven-game win streak. The Warriors on the other hand are scoring 117.3 points per game and allowing 116.6 points per game through the season, but have averaged 115.5 and allowed 120.3 through their current road trip.
The Knicks are a solid defensive team that have been excellent through their recent win streak. Holding the Warriors to below 110 points has happened just seven times this season, and no matter how great the Knicks' defense has been the Warriors are set to fast a pace. It may not be a pretty game, but expect these teams to clear 223.0 on Tuesday night.
