NC State vs. Louisville Prediction: ACC Rivals Battle to Keep March Madness Hopes Alive
This season did not go the way Louisville and NC State hoped, but they have a chance to redeem that starting tonight.
The Wolfpack enter as the tenth seed after losing seven of their final ten games. After starting the season 11-3, the team finished with a disappointing 17-14 record. That run ended their hopes for an at-large March Madness bid, meaning they’ll need to win the ACC Tournament to make it to the Big Dance.
Things have been even worse for Louisville, who finished dead last in the conference after posting an 8-23 record. The Cardinals finished the season losing seven straight games, making them a big underdog heading into tonight’s tournament matchup.
Below, we will share the latest odds and our predictions for tonight’s NC State vs. Louisville matchup. If you are looking to boost your bankroll ahead of the NCAA Tournament, you have come to the right place.

NC State vs. Louisville Preview
The Wolfpack does not do much well. They rank towards the bottom in the league in most offensive and defensive categories, which has shown in the second half of the season. One of their most significant issues is scoring, with DJ Horne as the team’s only reliable shooter. However, Jayden Taylor has been getting hot over the last four weeks. He is averaging 19 points over his previous four games, scoring over 20 in three. If he can stay hot, especially from deep, it will make NC State a more challenging out during the ACC Tournament.
NC State has been excellent when entering as the betting favorite this season, going 15-4. However, the team has covered the cover spread, going 8-11 when favored.
Louisville is a really, really bad team. While ten players average over 10 points, none are over 13. Two of those five players have field goal percentages below 40%, showing that they rely on volume over generating quality shots. The result is that the Cardinals have a brutal -7 point differential, leading to one of their worst seasons in recent memory.
The Cardinals are a brutal 2-20 when they enter a game as a betting underdog. They have covered nine of those games.

NC State vs. Louisville Predictions & Pick
It is hard to confidently bet on NC State this season, but tonight’s matchup is a rare exception. The Wolfpack has the talent to dominate a beaten and battered Cardinals team, and we see them cruising to a win in today’s matchup.
While the NC State Wolfpack aren’t great on defense, they are fourth in the ACC in steals per game (7.2 SPG). They can generate turnovers and score easy points against a bad Louisville defense.
Expect to see NC State look incredible today, but don’t expect it to carry over to their next game.
NC State vs Louisville Pick: NC State -9.5 (-110 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
