This looks like a key game for the AFC North since that division is still relatively up for grabs as the 2-4 Cleveland Browns attempt to end a spiraling 3-game losing streak by beating the 3-3 Baltimore Ravens, with Cleveland starting backup QB Jacoby Brissett and the Ravens' fielding scrambling QB Lamar Jackson.

One fact to consider is that Baltimore has covered the spread in each of the last 5 times they have played the Browns, but tendencies like that can be broken by a Cleveland team anxious to recover from some embarrassing outings the last few weeks where DC Joe Woods’ defense has underperformed in many key categories, something QB Jackson can exploit on Sunday.

The Ravens will face a Browns' defensive line that is ranked 25th in team sacks (11) which is surprising for a group that includes quarterback-hunting DE Myles Garrett (shoulder) and veteran QB sacker DE Jadeveon Clowney (ankle), both of who are listed as questionable to play this week so be sure to check back before game time to make sure they are suiting up.

Speaking of tendencies, it turns out that five of Cleveland’s last six games have gone OVER the total points line and both offenses here are effective when it comes to finding the end zone, the Browns averaging 24.7 points per game this season and the Ravens posting 26.3 each game, that total of 51 well over what is listed here.

It is also smart to check what each of these defenses typically gives up, with the Browns’ 25th-ranked defense allowing opponents to score 27.2 points per game and the Ravens’ 27th-ranked defense allowing the teams it plays to score 23.5 points per game, that total of 50.7 again well above what the oddsmakers are predicting these two will score against each other in Week 7.

This is where we also like to consider the injuries that each team is dealing with since a lack of playmakers will most likely affect the final score, and besides the aforementioned Clowney and Garrett, the Browns have OT Joe Haeg (concussion) and OG Wyatt Teller (calf) listed as questionable, same as Ravens RBs J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Justice Hill (hamstring).

This could be a thrilling bet for loyal Cleveland Browns fans as the team would have to beat the Ravens outright without the help of any points and since Cleveland has lost its last three games as well as five of their last six road games, a season-saving rebound would pay a $100 bet a $230 win plus the original wager.

It will cost Ravens fans a bit more to make a money-line bet on their team with a $295 bet yielding a $100 win if Baltimore beats Cleveland outright on Sunday, something that happens more often than not since the Ravens now lead that series 34-12-0, domination that prevents this from being a serious rivalry although they are both from the AFC North, so wins are critical.

It has become obvious in the first six games that the Ravens’ defense has been missing its former DC Don ‘Wink’ Martindale who is now busily improving the New York Giants on that side of the ball, so his replacement, Mike Macdonald, is still figuring out an effective game plan, though last week his defense gave up 14 fourth-quarter points in a loss to those same Giants.
