The Vikings and Eagles were both playoff teams a year ago. Philly made a run to the Super Bowl before falling to the Kansas City Chiefs, while the Vikings were knocked out in the first round by the New York Giants. 

The Eagles managed to beat the New England Patriots 25-20 in their season opener thanks to a couple of key turnovers. The Vikings were not as lucky and were upset by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20-17.

The Vikings were one of the most overperforming teams in the NFL in 2022. They finished the year 13-4 despite having a negative point differential and were 11-0 in one-score games. That luck has already started to spin on its head with their Week 1 loss.

The Dallas Cowboys proved they will be a force in the NFC East this season with a commanding 40-0 win over the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, and the pressure is on the Eagles to get another win or risk being overtaken by their rivals.
