The final NFL game in Week 15 is an NFC matchup on Monday Night Football featuring Baker Mayfield’s Los Angeles Rams versus Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packers, the Rams with new QB Baker Mayfield who just led his latest team for a 13-point comeback win over the Raiders, 17-16, including a 98-yard game-winning drive with impressive passes to WRs he’d just met.
The 5-8 Green Bay Packers have lost five of their last six games as favorites but had a Week 14 bye so at least they should be rested and healthy as they battle to stay relevant in the push for the postseason, right now the tenth NFC team in line for seven playoff seeds, a win here a must if they hope to prevent elimination, all a matter of getting their 15th ranked offense to step up.
The oddsmakers tell us that the Rams have covered the spread in each of their last six games in December, so we pick them to do that in Week 15, a potential weather game in Green Bay Wisconsin where LA QB Mayfield should do fine with thanks to his years playing off the lake in Cleveland for the Browns, this run now with Rams HC Sean McVay hopefully his most productive.

Right now, the LA Rams have the 31st-best offense in a league of 32 teams, the result of injuries to key players including starting QB Matthew Stafford (neck) and star WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) not to mention lots of injuries to the offensive line, so it’s no wonder the oddsmakers are predicting such a low points total for this matchup, especially when you consider the Packers’ scoring struggles.
These offenses are not having a productive season in terms of points, the Rams averaging 16.8 points per game, and the Packers averaging 20.2 points every week, that total of 37 points just under what the oddsmakers are predicting here, so if you believe these two offenses will struggle the way they have in the past, the under might be the best bet for this matchup.
But smart gamblers should also consider the fact that each of the Green Bay Packers' last four games have gone over the total points line, and defensively both teams allow scoring, with Los Angeles allowing opponents to score 22.8 points per game and Green Bay’s defense allowing 23.2 points each game, that total of 46 points well over this bet so that is what we are going to take here.

If you are in the mood for a different kind of bet in Week 15, maybe try this Special from BetRivers where the bettor must guess which team will win just the fourth quarter outright, with a $100 bet on the Rams to do so paying $270 plus the wager to the winners and a $315 bet on the Packers to win just the fourth quarter paying out $100, the favorites getting tougher odds.
Keep in mind that the 4-9 Rams will most likely be eliminated from the playoffs with a loss here so expect them to play hard at the start of the game, but if the Packers who have far more at stake jump to an early lead, the LA effort might wane in the last part of the game, though with the fiery Mayfield under center now, expect him to fight until the end since his NFL future depends on it.
For those who think neither team will score in the last quarter of the game, a $100 bet could win you $1,700 if that comes true, but it’s unlikely (thus the large payout) so do keep that in mind.
