It should be a safe bet that the Buccaneers will win this game. Even after losing to the Lions last week, Tampa is 3-1 on the road, with wins over the Falcons, Texans, and Seahawks. The fact that those three wins all came by three points or less makes us wary of betting on the Bucs to cover. It doesn’t help that the Saints have three home losses that were all decided by one score.

Nevertheless, the 1-6 Saints aren’t likely to pull off an upset over the Buccaneers. They have scored the fourth-fewest points and allowed the sixth-most points in the NFL this season. That’s not going to get it done against a team like the Buccaneers, even if Tampa is on the road for the second straight week.

Both of these teams struggle defensively, which would point to a high-scoring game. However, there are also questions about each team’s offense, which is why we’re leaning toward the under in this matchup. Even if the Bucs have some defensive flaws, they should be able to handle a limited New Orleans offense.

Meanwhile, injuries are the biggest concern with the Tampa offense. Mike Evans is unavailable, which was a big issue after his exit on Monday against the Lions.
