The robbery between the Colorado Avalanche and the Winnipeg Jets is among the most electric and high-volume rivalries in the NHL. Even before the start of the first-round matchup this postseason, the Avalanche and the Jets had been combining for incredibly high scores.
In the eight games played between the two teams going back to April of 2023, the Avalanche and the Jets have combined for at least six points scored in each game. The Jets have dominated most of the regular season matchups this season. It didn't take until game two for the Avalanche to finally get their revenge.
This Tuesday night, there should be no surprise that there will be a high score in the matchup once again. In game four, this past Sunday night, the Avalanche were able to defeat the Jets with a 5-1 score. This is a sign that the Jets are slowing down significantly due to fatigue.
On Tuesday night, however, the Jets are back home and are facing elimination. They are going to come into this game with more intensity and mental toughness to try and break through for another win and bring the series back to Winnipeg.
It is a challenge that the Avalanche are definitely up to task for. Their offense led by a series of elite playmakers and stars is ready. Many players for the Avalanche will look to take this game themselves.

The Vancouver Canucks and the Nashville Predators came into the 2023-2024 NHL Season as two of the more unlikely teams to make the postseason. Now this series could potentially reach its conclusion on Tuesday night as the Canucks hold a 3-1 hold lead with game five being played at the Canucks.
The Canucks won game one with a 4-2 score at home but didn’t repeat the same intensity in game two as the Predators stole a game at the Canucks with a 4-1 score. After stealing a game in Vancouver, it was a chance for Nashville to take the momentum completely by hosting the next two games.
The Canucks took game three with an all-defensive battle over the Predators with a 2-1 score. The defense of the Canucks dominated as they held the Predators to only one shot on 30 total shots attempted. The offense for the Canucks, on the other hand, only attempted 12 shots toward the goal and won 36.7% of their faceoffs. Their offense made up for the lack of intensity in game three to win game four with a 4-3 score.
The Canucks come into game four with all of the momentum in the series and the overall efficiency on both sides of the ice. Vancouver has shown they can win in multiple ways, offensively and defensively. The Predators are a team, while commended for their intensity and ability to overcome obstacles, are a team that isn’t ready to compete for a title this season.
This Tuesday night should be the best opportunity for the Canucks to take this series before the Predators overcome a series deficit and take it to seven games.
