The top-scoring offense in the league is back on the ice on Monday. The Colorado Avalanche continue their elite play on offense as they average a league-high 3.74 goals per game. There has been a high level of dominance from their big three that makes them one of the toughest teams in the league to beat.
On Monday night, the Avalanche will go on the road to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets possess the second-worst scoring defense in the league as they allow an average of 3.96 goals per game.
This game will be a great opportunity for each of the stars of the Avalanche to get into a dominant performance. Forward Mikko Rantanen has been excellent this March. In 13 games played in March, Rantanen has accumulated 23 points with 15 coming from assists.
He accounted for three assists in Saturday’s 7-4 home win over the Nashville Predators. In the three previous games, he has been suppressed to one assist.
Before that, he accounted for two goals and one assist in the 6-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. He dominated the Blue Jackets just a little over a week ago and he is more than likely to do it again.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have put themselves in position for a potential wild card spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Their next biggest obstacle is a team that has had their number in the past few years, the New York Rangers.
When it comes to the penguins, the Rangers take their efficiency on the offensive side of the ice up to another level. One example of a player doing that is forward Artemis Panarin. In the two games played against Pittsburgh this season, panoram has a counter for five total points, all coming from the last matchup on the road versus Pittsburgh on March 16.
Panarim is one of the most underrated players in the NHL as he is accounted for 104 total points. In 14 games played this march, Panarin has accounted for 25 points with 16 being assists. Look for the Rangers to make a big statement win versus a playoff starved Penguins team with Panarin leading the charge.
