If there is a game to ever bet against consistently, it is the San Jose Sharks’ defense. The Sharks possess the worst defense in the league since the start of the season as they allow an average of 3.96 goals per game.
On Friday night, the Sharks will have another tough test as they host the New Jersey Devils, who have the fifth-ranked scoring offense in the league (3.62 goals per game). New Jersey should have a huge performance offensively on Friday night against this weak Sharks’ defense.
While players like center Jack Hughes are going to have a high-volume game, this game will be another opportunity for other key players like forward Tyler Toffoli to account for big games. Toffoli has accounted for at least two points in two of the last three games for the Devils.

The biggest matchup of the night should be a potential offensive shootout as the Ottawa Senators go on the road to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets. While the offense of the Blue Jackets is inconsistent, the senators are looking to make their mark in a competitive Eastern Conference with a big win on Friday night.
The Senators are ranked sixth in the league in goals per game (3.47) thanks to an assembly of reliable players. One of those reliable players is center Tim Stutzle, who leads the team in points accounted for (22) and assists accounted for. Stutzle has accounted for two or more points in three of the last five games for Ottawa.
He and several other players for the Senators should have a big night as the Blue Jackets have the 22nd-ranked scoring defense in the league (3.42 goals allowed per game).
