The first-round matchup series between the Vancouver Canucks and the Nashville Predators has been incredibly inconsistent. Both the Canucks and the Predators have shown signs that they are not the Stanley Cup title-winning team they were hoping to be when they entered the postseason. There have been inconsistencies on both sides of the ice from both teams.
The one thing consistent in this series has been the efficient play-making and passing ability of center J.T. Miller. In the five postseason games played for the Canucks, Miller has accounted for six total points with five being assists. There is even some concern with Miller's ability to set up solid shots for his teammates, mostly on the aspect of his teammates finishing with goals.
He has accounted for an assist in three of the five games played against Nashville. Miller's three assists in game 3 in the 4-3 overtime road win over the Predators helped to seal a series lead.
The Canucks are now facing the possibility of playing sevenfold games with game six tonight being played in Nashville. It will take the best players for the Canucks to ensure that Vancouver does not blow this series lead and lose this series potentially in their own stadium. The biggest hope of the game will come from Miller's passing ability much like he has been highly efficient for the Canucks in the regular season.

Much like the Vancouver Canucks, the Dallas Stars have been fluctuating between consistency and the inability to maintain momentum. The Stars were in danger of being swept by the defending champions in the Vegas Golden Knights after losing the first two games of the first round at home. The Stars have followed those two losses up with three solid wins and the availability to take game six in Vegas.
One key reason for the Stars' rise in this series is the stellar play of center Wyatt Johnson. In five games played against Vegas, Johnson has accounted for six total points with three goals and three assists. He has accounted for a goal or an assist in five of the six games playing. Whenever Dallas needed a player to step up, Johnson was that leader.
He has been an instrumental player in helping the Stars account for 10 goals in the last three games against Vegas. Tonight's matchup will be up to him and potentially other role players to ensure that there is no game seven.
