Tonight’s set of NHL games is going to not only be fun to watch but also present great betting value. Two games are set to be played tonight, including a Western Conference battle for the first time this postseason. These are games that will have great lines for their star players to set up key scoring opportunities for their teammates. Look for great assist lines in player prop bets to come from DraftKings

Boston Bruins vs. Florida Panthers

My Pick - Brad Marchand to Account for Over 0.5 Assists (+130) at DraftKings

The Boston Bruins stole game one of the second-round series versus the Florida Panthers thanks to several role players taking over. For game two, the highly efficient defense of the Panthers are going to look to contain as many key players as possible. This will leave an opportunity for Bruins forward Brad Marchand to account for a big game.

Marchand was one of several key players to account for and assist in the game against the Panthers. In the first four games against the Toronto Maple Leafs, he has accounted for five total assists.

The Bruins were 3-1 in games where he accounted for an assist through the first four games against Toronto. He didn’t account for an assist in the final three games against Toronto. The Bruins lost games five and six of the series but barely won game seven in overtime.

If the Bruins want to take game two and take a 2-0 series lead heading into Boston for the next two games, they will need Marchand to get a rhythm with passing the puck efficiently.

Edmonton Oilers vs. Vancouver Canucks

My Pick - Connor McDavid to Account for Over 1.5 Assists (+135) at DraftKings

The first game of the final second-round matchup between the Edmonton Oilers in the Vancouver Canucks expected to bring a huge offensive presence. The Oilers are coming in with a series edge on the opposite side of the ice despite losing to the Canucks in all four regular season matchups. At that point in the season, the Oilers were either going through a serious transition through the coaching staff or were experiencing significant injuries. Now Amazon is feeling confident in its ability to take over the West.

The Oilers continue their run toward the Stanley Cup title as they will be looking to rely on their star player in center Connor McDavid to help set up key shots. McDavid has accumulated 12 total points with 11 being assists in the five first-round matchup games against the Los Angeles Kings.

McDavid has accounted for two or more assists in three of the five games through the postseason. It is fair to say that the offense runs through McDavid and forward Leon Draisaitl.

Look for McDavid to set up multiple key scoring opportunities for his teammates and help the Oilers get revenge on the Canucks, who have struggled to take down the Nashville Predators in round one.
