The defence of the Buffalo Sabres knows how efficient the two leading playmakers for the Philadelphia Flyers are. The Sabres are looking to suppress the impact of right-wing Travis Konecny and defender Travis Sanheim.
This will leave an impact player like right-wing Cam Atkinson to be the leading offensive player for the Flyers. In 10 games played Atkinson has accounted for nine points, with six of them being goals and three of them being assists.
As a team, the Flyers are averaging 3.2 goals per game, the same as the Sabres. Philadelphia will need Atkinson to be a reliable playmaker on the offensive side of the ice.

The New Jersey Devils (6-2-1) got a big 5-3 win on Thursday night over the Minnesota Wild. Five different players for the Devils scored goals against the poor defense of the Wild.
While center Jack Hughes wasn't among the five players to score a goal for the Devils, he was incredibly active on the offensive side of the ice. Hughes accounted for two assists to bring to his season total of points at 20 and assists at 15. He leads the league in total points accounted for.
On Friday night, the Devils will go on the road again to take on the St. Louis Blues (3-4-1). The Devils are second in the league in points accounted for (4.13), thanks to the stellar play of players like Hughes. The Blues' defense is going to be more of a challenge to the Devils as opposed to the Wild. This game will be another opportunity for Hughes to make himself among the top players in the league.
