With two wins under their metaphorical belt, the USWNT will try to close out group play undefeated when they face off Sunday afternoon against Germany. Bettors can find the betting line for the game at their favorite sportsbook, along with a healthy menu of player props.
A win will allow the U.S. to finish group play undefeated and keep its historic win streak (57 consecutive wins in Olympic play) alive. The game is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. E.T. at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium and can be streamed at NBCOlympics.com and the Peacock app.
Let’s take a look at the betting odds for USA vs. Germany, as well as a few of our favorite player props and best bets.
Belgium made the U.S. work for the win Thursday, but the USWNT did what matters most anyway—they won. Bettors may look at the 13-point margin of victory and scoff, but it is not like Team USA was ever in danger of falling behind. But they did fail to cover the 20.5-point spread.
Germany is one of three undefeated women’s teams, the others being the U.S. and France. They are coming off a solid performance against Japan, 76-64. But fans will not think about that game or Germany’s win over Belgium.
No, they’ll be thinking about the 85-57 whooping the U.S. put on Germany in a warmup game prior to the Olympics getting underway. On that note, here is the betting line for USA vs. Belgium (odds via bet365 Sportsbook).

The U.S. and Germany have never played each other in an Olympic competition before, but they played a warmup game prior to the Summer Games. The USWNT won with ease, 84-57. Breanna Stewart led the way with 30 points, followed by Napheesa Collier with 21.
However, while the U.S. won that game easily, the German team they meet on Sunday will differ from the one they faced back then. Like every team at the Olympics, they’ve improved the more they played. But have they improved enough to be competitive with the U.S.?
After a relatively easy game against Japan, the U.S. got tested against a decent Belgium team that pushed the U.S. pretty hard in the qualifying tournament. While the U.S. had a hard time putting them away, they were never in danger of losing.
Eventually, their size and athleticism became too much for Belgium, and they pulled away in the fourth.
The U.S. has dominated the boards in their previous games (56-27 and 49-27). They have been especially impressive on the offensive glass, with 19 and 16 leading to 22 and 13 second-chance points, respectively.
Essentially, all the U.S. needs to do is continue to play like they have, and they’ll keep the win streak alive.
With how the pre-Olympic warmup vs. the United States played out, Germany knows what it needs to do better—pretty much everything.
They shot 29.41% from the floor (20.69% from three-point range), lost the rebound battle (53-41), and lost the assist battle (27-14), but had comparable stats in steals (8-6) and blocks (5-5). They also turned the ball over more (17-12).
Turnovers have still been an issue, but they have done a solid job rebounding. However, the key could be whether they can get things going from behind the three-point line. They were 8-16 vs. Belgium and ran away with that game.
Japan hit 15 of 39 three-pointers against the U.S.
The USWNT will win this game, but there is no value in the moneyline, so the question is whether they’ll cover the spread. Based on the warmup game vs. Germany, they should. But Germany crushed Belgium while the U.S. did not.
With the U.S. not being too concerned with defense, if Germany can hit a few three-pointers and the U.S. continues to struggle from behind the three-point line, Team USA may not ice this one away until late, allowing Germany to stay within 19 points.
Our Pick: Germany +19.5

Wilson has been the same scoring beast she is in the WNBA during Team USA’s Olympic run. She had 24 against China and 23 against Belgium. If you are a little concerned about the 19-point night she had against Germany in the warmup, that’s okay.
Just remember—that was an exhibition game that meant nothing, but every game in the Olympics means something. She’ll be at her best in this game like she is in every game she plays. It may come down to the wire, like in the Belgium game, but she’ll go over her total.
She’s one of the best rebounders in the WNBA and has been one of the best at the Olympics, with 13 rebounds each game. Betting the over on a relatively high rebound total has an element of risk, but there is no reason to think she’ll slow down.
Like Wilson, Stewart has been leading the charge on the scoreboard for Team USA, and her teammates are good with letting her and Wilson do just that. Stewart had 22 vs. Japan and 26 vs. Belgium. As long as the game plan for the U.S. remains the same, she’ll go over her total, too.
In the two qualifying games she played in, she scored 18 and 20 points. She had 17 in Germany’s Olympic opener but only played about 29 minutes. But against Japan, she went off for 33 points.
Sabally struggled against the U.S. in pre-Olympics warmup, scoring 8 points on 3-17 shooting, but everyone on the German roster struggled in that game. Otherwise, she has been consistent on the scoreboard for her team.
She played 30+ minutes in every game except for the Olympic opener vs. Belgium. Since the U.S. has not been too concerned about playing defense, as long as she plays 30+ minutes, she’ll score 20+ points.
