It's going to be a late night for WNBA fans tonight, with three games scheduled to get underway at 10 p.m. EST. Along with the betting lines for each game comes a whole host of WNBA Player Props for your betting pleasure.
With several stars, like Kelsey Plum, A’ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier, and Paige Bueckers (yes, she’s back), there are quite a few interesting WNBA Player Props available at your favorite online sportsbook for tonight.
Wilson is certainly capable of going over this number on points alone. However, while she has had some big, explosive nights (like the last time the Aces played the Sparks), this season, unlike last year, they are the exception rather than the norm.
When Las Vegas hosted Los Angeles on May 30, Wilson went off for 35 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists. But that game is one of only two this season where Wilson’s stats surpassed that number.
With Wilson, there is always a chance, especially against a lesser team like LA. But, with how she’s played this season, bettors may want to take a step back.
A’ja Wilson
Dearica Hamby
Predicting who is going to score the first basket of a game comes with some variables that are hard to account for. But when it comes to scoring the first team basket, there are patterns that could be useful.
Wilson is the leader of the team and the focal point of the offense. So, it should come as no surprise that she has recorded the first basket for the Aces in three of seven games, making her a solid choice to do so tonight for the Aces.
As for the Sparks, Hamby has done so five times out of ten games, once as the first basket of the game and four as the first for the team. She didn’t score the team’s first when they played the Aces on May 30, but she’s a good bet to do so tonight.
Phoenix has recorded the first basket in five games this season, but four were at home. Dallas made the first basket in six games, three each on the road and at home. Since Dallas has been more successful at it, I have to go with someone from the Wings.
Carrington has done so twice already this season.
To Record a Double-Double
Collier is averaging 8.9 rebounds per game this season, but the MVP frontrunner has been on a roll, recording 10+ in her last five games. Seattle has a solid defense, but Collier pulled down ten rebounds against them the last time these two teams played.
There is no reason to think she can’t do so again here.
If you think she will go OVER her rebounds total, you might as well take her to record a double-double as well. It is highly unlikely she fails to score 10+ points. She is averaging 25.5 points per game this season and has not failed to score 10+ points in a regular season game since July 4 of last season.
It does not take much to score more than 7.5 points, but scoring is just something the Storm do not lean on Magbegor for. She is averaging 6.8 points per game this season, but has scored 7.5+ in two of her last four games.
However, when these two teams played on May 27, she scored six. As long as she’s taking fewer than eight shots a game, there is a good chance she does not score more than seven.
