It has been a traumatic few weeks for LIV Golf - perhaps the best place for the players to recuperate is out on the course in competition.
LIV Golf has been in the news over the last few weeks
The circuit needs a good week on the course
Jon Rahm continues to rule supreme with a win last time out

It hasn’t been a good month for LIV Golf.
Its two star players - Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau - failed at the Masters.
A week later, rumours suggested that Saudi Arabia was set to cease backing the rebels circuit.
And then LIV and its players came out fighting in Mexico.
But then it was confirmed that Saudi Arabia is set to end its backing at the end of the year, and LIV Louisiana was knocked off the schedule.
If LIV Golf has proved to have one factor in its favor, it is resilience in the face of criticism - and that quality is about to be tested again.
Trump National Golf Club in Washington DC is a good place for it to bounce back because the President, who owns the club and has been a LIV supporter.
It’s a tough Tom Fazio design and was last visited by LIV in 2023.
Let’s see who this week’s best bets are.
| Tournament | Year | Position | Player | Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LIV Golf | 2023 | 1st | Harold Varner III (USA) | -11 |
| 2nd | Branden Grace (South Africa) | -10 | ||
| 3rd | Mito Pereira (Chile) | -9 | ||
| 4th | Sebastian Munoz (Colombia) | -7 | ||
| 4th | Henrik Stenson (Sweden) | -7 | ||
| 6th | Kevin Na (USA) | -6 | ||
| 6th | Andy Ogletree (USA) | -6 | ||
| 6th | Louis Oosthuizen (South Africa) | -6 | ||
| 9th | Bryson DeChambeau (USA) | -5 | ||
| 9th | Cameron Smith ( Australia) | -5 | ||
| 9th | Cameron Tringale (USA) | -5 |
It is a par 72 that plays to 7,679 yards
The course was designed by Tom Fazio
It features elevation changes and views of the Potomac River
It has two par-4s that stretch beyond 500 yards
It has bent grass greens
The Spaniard’s sensational LIV Golf form continued last time out in Mexico. A final round of 64 was good enough for the victory. It was his 10th straight finish of T5 or better on LIV. In that run, he has won twice and been second six times. He wasn’t on LIV when the circuit last played this course, but he is 4-for-5 at finishing top 10 on Fazio designs.
After winning back-to-back on LIV in Singapore and South Africa, things have turned badly wrong for the American. He missed the cut at the Masters, enduring disaster in the sand traps in both his first and second rounds. And then he withdrew from Mexico after looking thoroughly miserable throughout. He is 2-for-7 at finishing top 10 on Fazio layouts.
The Englishman’s T5 last time out in Mexico was a boost because it was just his third top five finish on LIV in 13 starts. In fact, he’s often gone missing because finishing outside the top 30 at this level is very poor for him, and he’s done it five times in that run. He has a fine Tom Fazio record, too, with three top four finishes in six starts.
Back in 2022, the big-hitting thrashed a final round 64 to finish second at LIV Bedminster that took place on the Tom Fazio-designed Trump National Bedminster.
If that highlights his potential on the course, his form has been excellent in recent weeks.
He was T5 at LIV Hong Kong and then T8 at LIV Singapore. To perform like that, on those courses, indicates his long game is in good shape.
Last time out, he was T5 at LIV Mexico, and that reiterates the point about his game.
Back him in the outright market at +5500 each way with BetMGM - it’s the industry standout price.

The South African Dean Burmester has been in solid form this year on LIV, but this looks a good chance for him to genuinely contend.
His last six starts have all reaped top 20s with T6 at LIV Adelaide, T7 at LIV Hong Kong and T6 at LIV South Africa the stand out efforts.
He’s also been a winner in the States in the last two seasons: at LIV Miami in 2024 and LIV Chicago last year.
He was also T3 at LIV Bedminster, T5 on the Fazio created Victoria National on the Korn Ferry Tour, and he was T15 on this course in 2023.
Back him at +1800 with Caesars Sportsbook.
Bet $1, Double Your Winnings 10x at Caesars
Let’s keep this one absolutely simple.
The Englishman was third at the Masters and then fifth last time out in Mexico.
That’s excellent form among the elite of the sport - and excellent form on LIV.
Then we can add his Tom Fazio form which stretches across many different designs.
He’s been T4 at PGA National, T3 at Shadow Creek, T2 and T13 at Congaree, and T18 at The Summit.
In those last two starts, he has been hitting a lot of fairways, a lot of greens, and he’s been holing putts.
His all round game is good, and he’s an excellent top 10 prospect at +100 with BetRivers.
