The Astros have been winning without Yordan Alvarez, thanks largely to the play of Isaac Paredes. The young slugger has been on fire at the plate over the last week, a run that includes a two-home run game on Wednesday. Below, we’ll share why we like the third basemen to go deep again tonight and two other home run props we are locking in.

The 21-year-old second baseman has been in a groove over the last week. Despite the rest of the lineup struggling, he’s gone deep twice and posted a .333 average over that span. All of his home runs have come against right-handed pitchers, and he’ll be facing a struggling one tonight.
Veteran Luca Giolito (1-1, 7.08 ERA, 1.52 WHIP) has been given a chance to return to an MLB rotation by Boston, but he has yet to capitalize. Over his three starts this month, the righty has allowed six runs twice. That includes his last start, where he allowed three home runs over four innings.

You may not know the Cardinals’ first baseman’s name yet, but he’s having a monster May. The 26-year-old has an impressive 1.104 OPS this month, partly thanks to hitting four home runs. He’s been especially impressive when facing righties like he will tonight, posting a .304 average and all four home runs.
Taking this unproven young hitter to go deep against Zac Gallen (3-5, 5.14 ERA, 1.38 WHIP) may feel crazy, but the D-backs ace has not been himself in 2025. He has been hammered in his previous two starts, with the most recent coming against an awful Colorado lineup. The Rockies managed to hit four home runs against Gallen over five innings, and didn’t even have the advantage of playing at Coors Field.
Gallen is broken, making Burleson a tempting bet to go deep.

The Astros' third baseman has found his power in a big way over the last week, posting a two-home run game on Wednesday. Almost all that success has come against right-hand pitching, which he’s been far better against all season. We like his chances to stay hot against a young and erratic pitcher.
Paredes will face Mariners’ pitcher Emerson Hancock (1-2, 6.21 ERA, 1.68 WHIP) on the mound to start tonight’s game. As his WHIP indicates, the righty has been struggling badly with his command, resulting in a lot of baserunners and some ugly home run totals.
Over Hancock’s last two starts, he has allowed four home runs over 9 2/3 innings.
