Brewers vs. Pirates (6:40 PM, EST)
Under 7 (-115) at FanDuel Sportsbook
A pair of NL Central teams, the Brewers and Pirates, will square off in Pittsburgh on Friday. Freddy Peralta will face Paul Skenes, and both pitchers will dominate their competition.
These two teams are at the bottom of the division and need to work hard to have any chance of making the playoffs. Milwaukee is 24-26, and Pittsburgh is 17-33.
Peralta has been a big part of Milwaukee’s recent success. He is 5-3 with an ERA of 2.59.
In his last three starts, he has pitched 16.1 innings, allowing just five earned runs.
Skenes is 3-5 in 2025, but the record doesn’t indicate how strong he has been in 2025. He has a 2.44 ERA and has struck out 62 batters in 62.2 innings.
Peralta should have no problem with Pittsburgh’s offense. The team is hitting .218, the second-worst in baseball.
Milwaukee isn’t swinging it much better, hitting .229 as a club. The pitchers should shove and keep this total low.

Dodgers vs. Mets (7:10 PM, EST)
Mets Moneyline (-105) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Dodgers take on the Mets in New York. Clayton Kershaw, who is struggling, will pitch.
Los Angeles has lost four of its last six games and was swept by the Angels. The Dodgers aren’t playing their best baseball right now, and a big reason is the starting pitching.
It doesn’t get any easier for them on Friday, as Kershaw has an ERA of 11.25 this season.
Griffin Canning will start for the Mets. He is 5-1 with a 2.47 ERA in 2025.
Canning has been dominant in his last three starts, throwing 16.1 innings and allowing four runs on 15 hits.
New York is hitting .246 as a team, the 14th best in the MLB, and that number should increase after facing Kershaw. I rarely fade the Dodgers, as they are one of the best teams in baseball, but the Mets have the pitching advantage to earn the victory.

Diamondbacks vs. Cardinals (8:15 PM, EST)
Cardinals Moneyline (+105) at FanDuel Sportsbook
St. Louis is 27-23 and trails the Cubs by just three games in the NL Central. They have value as a plus money dog on Friday.
Miles Mikolas squares off against Zac Gallen, who has had a rough start to 2025. Gallen is usually one of the best arms in baseball, but he is 3-5 with a 5.14 ERA.
The Cardinals are the third-best hitting team in baseball, and they will do some damage in this matchup. They are getting production from most of the lineup, and the pitching staff has been solid.
We trust Mikolas to keep St. Louis in this game and give them a great chance to win.
