The Houston Astros have started to find themselves in 2024. They’re starting to look like they can be in the World Series hunt.
The team started the year extremely slow, but they have won four of their past five games, and are approaching a winning record.
Houston will be trouble in the second half of the season if they perform to their capability. Injuries have really hurt the team, but they’re beginning to get healthy.
The Blue Jays will be sellers at the trade deadline the way they’re playing. They will have a tough time picking up a win when they face Hunter Brown on Monday.
Brown is 5-5 with a 4.37 ERA, but his last month has been fantastic. He is 4-0 with a 1.16 ERA, and we anticipate his dominance continuing against New York.

The New York Mets have been dominant since Grimace, the McDonald’s specialty shake mascot threw out the first pitch at a home game.
New York made its biggest statement against its crosstown rival, the Yankees, in their series last week. The team won both games and outscored them 21-9.
David Peterson will pitch for the Mets against MacKenzie Gore. Both pitchers have been relatively even this season, but New York is the hotter team.
Peterson also has a 2.84 ERA on the road and hasn’t lost a game. Look for him to dominate the game and give New York a great chance to win.
Gore is coming off a terrible start against the Padres, and his confidence should be low. San Diego has struggled against lefties this season, but they ate Gore up for five innings.
He allowed five earned runs, five hits, one homer, and three walks. He also recorded just one strikeout, so we expect New York’s offense to shine in this contest.

The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off a big Sunday win against their NL Central rival, the Chicago Cubs.
Milwaukee is better than Chicago, but winning by six runs in the big leagues is always hard. Milwaukee will travel to Colorado on Monday to face the Rockies.
It’s always tough to play in Colorado because of the altitude. Balls fly further at Coors Stadium, but Milwaukee is the better team in all aspects of the game.
Bryse Wilson will pitch for Milwaukee. He is 5-3 with a 3.89 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP. These stats may not be mind-blowing, but they’re much better than Austin Gomber.
Gomber has struggled immensely this season and isn’t meant to pitch at Coors Field. He is 1-5 with a 4.63 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP.
He has allowed 83 hits in 81.2 innings of work. If Gomber does his usual outing, this game should go in favor of Milwaukee.
